Megyn Kelly calls Jon Stewart a ‘prick’ over Andrew Sullivan ‘ambush,’ says ‘he’s on board the woke train’

Megyn Kelly has a problem with, in her terms, dishonest, woke-train conductor Jon Stewart, the host of “The Problem with Jon Stewart” on Apple TV+, and she provided a candid, expletive-laden assessment of the former “Daily Show” emcee.

Kelly apparently also has some receipts.

This subject came up during the podcast Tuesday of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” in a conversation with Never Trump pundit Andrew Sullivan. In late March, Sullivan had a “disgusting” dustup, as Kelly characterized it, with Stewart on his show.

During that episode, which was headlined “the trouble with white people,” Stewart implied that Sullivan was racist.

According to Kelly, a former Fox News prime-time host who has moved noticeably more to the right upon launching her platform after exiting the NBC “Today” show, Jon Stewart has a track record of unfairness, and nothing has changed in his “new iteration.”

Watch (*warning for language — the Stewart discussion begins at about the 57-minute mark):

“Maybe people mellow in their older age. I think people tend to be more reasonable, and maybe even a little bit more conservative as they get older. Not Jon Stewart. Man, to say he is on board the woke train is to understate what we saw on that show,” Kelly insisted.

“And I know you’ve described it as an ambush. It had the feel of an ambush where they had him, two super, super far left, woke people…who hate white people, and then you satelliting in, and sort of saying ‘I kinda like America’…and they treated you like David Duke had shown up,” she continued. “It was insane.”

“I was asked 24 hours before and I did it as a favor…I was told I would just be one-on-one with Jon, so it was a kind of ambush,” Sullivan, who describes himself as a moderate conservative, recalled. “Leaving that aside, to go on a television show and to be attacked because of your race and your sex, a dismissal of the entire group of people based upon their race and their sex. The definition of that is bigotry. And he gave a platform for that kind of bigotry….”

“It’s as if they’ve decided this one racial grouping is to be demonized, marginalized, and become a target of hate,” Sullivan, an immigrant from the U.K., added. “They have become everything they once said they opposed. They’re racists, sexists, and they really, really despise this country…we came here to join the most multicultural, multiracial democratic experiment in the history of humankind…”

“Jon Stewart’s not an honest broker,” Kelly chimed in. “I told this story before…. I said on the air that I didn’t like him, and that he wasn’t an honest broker, and that he hid behind the veil of ‘I’m a comedian’ to offer a lot of bullsh-t without any accountability. And he called me at Fox. He called me, and he was upset that I had called him all those things.”

“Of course, I stood by every word, and I told him why I thought that…,” she continued about Stewart’s tenure on the Comedy Central network. “I know he’s dishonest because he said things about me that I know are not true. And he had no answer for why he had misrepresented me so badly on so many occasions. No answer at all. He just wanted to get views. That’s it. It’s just about building an audience.”

“And even on the phone call, he tried to hide behind the comedian trope, which I didn’t accept. And that’s just who he is…so I think people found something charming about his comedy routine on that show, and that legacy has stayed with him. He’s done some good work for the veterans. No one would take that away from him, but he’s a prick. I’m sorry, but he’s a jerk, and you can see it in full scope with you.”

According to Breitbart’s John Nolte, in an essay published in April, Stewart’s new show is a flop:

Well, Apple TV reportedly has 20 million subscribers, and only 40,000 are bothering to watch the aging leftist make faces and own the cons. If my math is correct, that’s one-quarter of one percent of Apple subscribers.

But why would people watch Stewart when they never really did? Despite a second-to-none gaslighting campaign that tried to hide this fact, Jon Stewart was never a superstar, never popular with the American public….What he had going for him was the uninhibited love of a corporate media that saturated their own networks with clips of Stewart ANNIHLATING Republicans…America is drowning in smugly dishonest left-wingers trashing the GOP. But Stewart is such an idiot; he saw a market for his tired schtick…

  1. Had Ms. Kelly add “hypocritical” to her 1 word description, she would have completely nailed it.

  2. Meghan, I am shocked. Shocked and appalled that you would be so wrong, should be so illadvised, as to call Jon Stewart a prick. That is a foul calumny on a perfectly useful portion of male anatomy, while Jon Stewart is entirely f***ing useless.

  3. Jonathan Leibowitz (his real name; he’s one of those strange self-loathing Jews) has always been a rabid far left loon.

  4. When Stewart was showing his bigotry, and degrading Sullivan, did he look in mirror and look at himself that morning or any other morning. Maybe Stewart gets away with it by identifying himself as a female, and black too, doesn’t he? Or maybe he just identifies as he, she, it.

  5. Stop giving Kelly a platform. Not sure if you have crush or what but this bimbo is a glory hound RINO CINO.
