Burger King assistant manager behind bars for serving garbage food – literally!

Jaime Christine Major was the assistant manager at a South Carolina Burger King until she decided to serve trash to paying customers.

Union Police Department officers were responding to a disturbance at the fast food joint and arrived at the scene to find two customers screaming at employees. But this was no ordinary “my fries are cold I want a refund” screaming match.

The women, who were allegedly using profanity and threatening language, were arrested after police attempted to calm them down to no avail. A couple of days later, the BK HQ phoned the police to report that the assistant manager of that location, later identified as Major, was reportedly serving fries fresh out of the… trash can. An investigation was launched and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

She has officially been charged with felony food tampering and, if convicted, could face up to 20 years in prison. While that may seem like a super-sized sentence, if someone’s family member had gotten ill or died from something that was transferred to the fries while they were in the garbage, the manager may have faced a much longer prison term.

Twitter users had no chill when the news was reported:
