Bartiromo confronts Alan Dershowitz, says ‘BS line’ that Biden is a moderate ‘just not true’

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo is calling BS on claims that President Joe Biden is a moderate politician.

In the video clip embedded above, Bartiromo bristled when Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz mentioned that fellow Democrat Biden had essentially moderate views and had done “good things” insofar as domestic policy and foreign policy are concerned.

“Alan, I’ve got to go back to something you just said, because you said Joe Biden was moderate,” the Sunday Morning Futures host said, after returning from a commercial break. “You said he has moderate policy. You said he’s passed some good things. You said he did a good job in Ukraine. I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

She continued: “This is not a moderate president. We have another spending bill that they’re negotiating right now which will likely stoke inflation. And on Ukraine, he offered Zelenskyy a flight out of there on Week One so that Russia would just take over, so I don’t know what you’re talking about….”

Dershowitz responded that “compared to President Trump, who I did not vote for. I defended him against an unconstitutional impeachment, but I didn’t vote for him. But compared to President Trump, the current president, Biden, is a moderate. So is his attorney general.”

Bartiromo wasn’t having it, however: “No, he’s not a moderate. He’s not a moderate. It’s just not true, and I know that’s the BS line the Democrats have been trying to sell us since Day One during the campaign. But his actions and his policies are indicative that he’s not a moderate…not only is he not a moderate, but his son has been selling influence, Hunter Biden, and the investigation is continuing there.”

Dershowitz then opined that the Hunter Biden investigation should go forward.

Bartiromo presumably is alluding to the fact that Joe Biden has rubber-stamped a far-left agenda, which has led to a series of domestic and international catastrophes, such as soaring inflation, energy dependence, supply chain disruptions, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, giving practically a blank check to Ukraine, and an illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.

The so-called Inflation Reduction Act is likely to make the economic forecast even worse.

In a Real Clear Politics aggregate of 11 national polls, Biden’s overall current job approval rating has sunk to about 40 percent (and it’s been lower), which may explain why the Democrat establishment seems to be trying to usher him off the stage prior to the 2024 campaign season.

Democrats have indicated no intention of actually toning down their radical ideology, however, regardless of who leads their party.

Biden’s RCP average approval for the handling of the U.S. economy is 33 percent, and 35 percent for immigration.

The Fox News conversation pivoted to Dershowitz’s latest book, his 5oth, which is titled “The Price of Principle.”

“This is the most important book I’ve written because, you know, I’m a neutral, principled person,” the former professor at Harvard Law School, 83, explained. “I defended President Trump. I voted for President Biden. And I am being attacked by both sides because principle doesn’t exist today in America. Everything is partisanship…I’m gonna continue to be principled. I’m gonna continue to say what I want. I’m gonna continue to assess President Biden fairly and not in a partisan way as I would continue to assess any Republican candidate. That’s not something in America today that’s highly desired, which is why I wrote my book.”
