Senator expects deal to be cut to conceal Hunter Biden’s indictment; you ‘can’t trust’ the FBI

Throwing shade on the politicized, “untrustworthy,” Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as the dishonest, pro-Democrat corporate media, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) predicts that the full story behind Hunter Biden’s alleged misdeeds will likely be kept under wraps even if he faces federal charges.

The lawmaker admitted that while he has no faith in the FBI’s top leadership, most rank-and-file agents “have integrity,” especially the whistleblowers who contacted Johnson’s colleague, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

FBI Director Christopher Wray has taken no action to correct systemic problems within the agency, Johnson asserted.

Johnson told Fox News host Don Bongino in the clip embedded above that the DOJ “may indict Hunter Biden but they’ll probably seal — they’ll do a deal — they’ll seal all the information. The American public will never get the full truth.”

Johnson was referring to a process whereby a judge can limit, or prohibit, access to court documents, which sometimes occurs in matters deemed sensitive for various reasons.

Some critics might conclude that this perhaps sounds like the way the DOJ handled the Ghislaine Maxwell prosecution.

Sen. Johnson also claimed that “we’ve known the Bidens are a corrupt family for years. Chuck Grassley and my report proved it conclusively. Then we had the laptop…but the problem we’ve had is the complicit and corrupt mainstream media has been covering it all up, and now we learn that even the FBI was covering up. It doesn’t surprise me. It’s shocking; it’s outrageous, but it certainly explains why 51 intelligence officials would also seek to cover this thing up. This is a massive, massive scandal that once again, the complicit, corrupt media is pretty much shrugging….”

The aforementioned whistleblowers reportedly informed Grassley of an alleged pervasive effort that existed within the FBI to downplay or discredit negative information concerning Hunter Biden to help his dad win the White House.

Johnson described the FBI as a “thoroughly corrupt organization” that pushed the fabricated Steele Dossier even though they knew it was unfounded and allowed the Mueller Russia collusion investigation to go forward even though there was no basis for it.

The younger Biden, of Laptop from Hell fame, a device that Johnson described as a “treasure trove,” is reportedly under investigation by the U.S. Attorney in Delaware (perhaps the only Trump-appointed holdover at that level who Joe Biden didn’t eventually fire after taking office) for alleged influence-peddling in Ukraine, China, and elsewhere.

A grand jury has reportedly been empaneled as part of the probe into possible tax fraud and other potential wrongdoing. Both Bidens have denied any impropriety. False statements the younger Biden allegedly made on the federal firearms background check form could also be an issue.

As well chronicled, Deep State actors and most corporate media outlets, with the help of Big Tech, disparaged or ignored the Hunter laptop story in the run-up to the November 2020 election.

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Sunday, Johnson similarly said “Thank God for those whistleblowers; we need a whole lot more of them in the FBI, in the Department Justice, and in our federal health agencies. They need to come forward and start talking to us…I’m not shocked, but it’s outrageous that the FBI would be tipping the scales of justice the way they’re doing.”

He continued: “I have no faith of Christopher Wray in conducting this investigation. But it’s important the American people understand the FBI had Hunter Biden’s laptop in December of 2019. They certainly saw the evidence of what I think is criminal activity on that laptop. They’ve done nothing…You can’t trust this Department of Justice, the FBI, to get to the bottom of this.”

Sen. Johnson agreed with “Unfiltered” host Bongino that the mainstream media will only report on the scandal as part of a coordinated effort to replace President Biden because of the latter’s dismal poll numbers.

Likely relying on swampy establishment advice, Wray’s 10-year appointment as FBI chief appears to be another lackluster hire by ex-President Donald Trump. Reports have emerged that Trump plans to reshape the federal bureaucracy, however, if he runs and wins in 2024.

In the meantime, if the GOP wins a majority in Congress in November, one of the first orders of business presumably will be the conducting of hearings into alleged Biden family corruption.

Johnson and Grassley, both of whom are up for reelection this year, have called upon AG Merrick Garland and Wray to explain these alleged conflicts of interest in the Hunter Biden probe.
