Former CIA official warns Putin ready to go ‘scorched-earth’, urges Biden admin change Ukraine policy

The U.S., as well as NATO, have to change their policy and do more to help war-torn Ukraine, in part because negotiating with win-at-all-costs Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin is pointless since he is ready to adopt a “scorched-earth” military campaign.

In the ongoing invasion, Putin’s forces, including mercenaries, have reportedly committed war crimes and other atrocities for which they would need to be held accountable.

These are the contentions of ex-CIA station chief and Fox News contributor Dan Hoffman who says that fighting in eastern Europe constitutes “extraordinary destructive warfare the likes of which haven’t seen since World War II.”

In a discussion with Fox News hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino on “America’s Newsroom” embedded above, Hoffman reacted, in part, to CRT-loving Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who informed Congress that the Ukraine war could go on for years in perhaps something of a stalemate.

Hoffman appeared to agree if the Biden administration’s current strategy continues.

“But is that what we really want? Do we want Russia to pummel Ukraine? How many more cities do we want to look like Bucha, and how many more maternity wards like the one in Mariupol can Russia be permitted to bomb indiscriminately?” Hoffman wondered rhetorically.

“Our policy has got to change,” Hoffman continued. “We’ve got to give Ukraine the T-72 tanks that they need. They’ve got some from the Czech Republic, but they need more; they need more Javelins and anti-ship weapons. There is a lot that President Zelenskyy is asking for, and he needs it. The last thing we want is for this conflict to go on and cause such harm to innocent folks in Ukraine for years. My goodness: That can’t be our policy,” he continued.

The Biden administration has committed $2 billion for security assistance to Ukraine consisting of “direct transfers of equipment from the Department of Defense to the Ukrainian military to help them defend their country against Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion.”

Perino then read a portion of an article by Wall Street Journal editor Daniel Henninger who wrote on Wednesday in a column headlined “Don’t let Putin win in Ukraine,” that a settlement that could result in a divided Ukraine was potentially possible a few weeks ago, but that time has passed.

“That result, however, assumed the war would default into a traditional military standoff between competing armies. That’s not what is happening in Ukraine. It is increasingly clear that after failing to secure a quick win, Mr. Putin’s Plan B is scorched earth. Using crudely targeted long-range missiles, land mines and his army’s historic instinct to barbarity, he is simply destroying Ukraine—its people, its economy, whole cities and infrastructure…” Henninger wrote.

Hoffman seemed to concur. “I think we can do more. I think we’re allowing Vladimir Putin Putin to deter us from doing the right thing in Ukraine. I also think this administration needs to get a handle on NATO. The Baltic States and Poland have been more out-front about not negotiating with Vladimir Putin and been in agreement, I think, with President Biden that Putin has committed war crimes, and negotiation is not a possibility, that Putin is fighting to win this war, and he is ready for scorched earth.”

Hoffman implied that it is a waste of time for France and Germany to attempt to negotiate with Russia’s leader to end the hostilities. “There is no off-ramp for Vladimir Putin. There might be for some of his inner circle if they decide not to take his orders.”

Likely speaking for much of America, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld (whose mother-in-law was safely evacuated from Ukraine last month) has separately observed on “The Five” that “it’s not pro-Russia to be anti-war,” and that he has yet to meet a pro-Russia person.

By the way, it was Nuland, Biden others in the Obummer administration along with the CIA and John McCain that formulated a Coup and overthrew the Elected President of Ukraine in 2014 ! Biden is throwing Billions of Taxpayer dollars at Ukraine because he’s OWNED BY Burisma Energy who paid both HIM and his CRACKHEAD son MILLIONS over the years and THEY are pulling the strings. SOMEBODY should be asking if Zelensky is being held accountable for WHERE the money is going? Is ANY of it going to his Offshore Account in Costa Rica where he ALREADY has almost ONE Billion dollars stashed away ? Will he pay off the mortage on his 34 Million dollar mansion just outside Miami !??

Half the people in Ukraine support Russia and want out of the Kakistocracy created by Biden, Soros, the CIA and Zelensky’s regime. Stupid Biden must release the fighter jets and put Putin on notice that if the civilian murders continue – the US and NATO will intervene. Putin is our modern day Hitler and must be stopped.

  9. Whose narrative should be believed here? Xidens? Putins? The MSM (who are Xiden`s lapdogs)? The CIA, current or ex, like Dan Hoffman? Our military top brass, like Gen. Milley? Are any telling us truth, or, do all have agendas that involve spinning, or, lying to us?

    1. There is no indication that these people know what is going to happen 1 hour, or 1 day or 1 week before it happens.
