U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs (OH), along with three of his GOP colleagues, introduced three articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden this week. Gibbs, joined by Reps. Brian Babin (R-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX), and Andy Biggs (R-AZ) have sponsored the impeachment against Biden, stating at least three ways the Democrat leader has damaged America.
Gibbs suggested Biden’s mismanagement of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the disaster at the border of Mexico, and attempting to continue a federal moratorium on evictions are ways that he created chaotic situations that were damaging to America and the resolution includes three articles of impeachment addressing these issues.
The Ohio lawmaker told Washington Examiner during an exclusive interview: “I take this seriously. I don’t think it’s haphazard. I’m not trying to get media attention for myself. He’s [Biden] done so much damage to this country in less than nine months, which is really scary.”
Gibbs continued, shaming Biden and stating that he’s “not capable of being commander in chief, and that’s obvious by the actions since Day One when he took the presidency back in January.”
The Ohio lawmaker further stated that he wants to hold Democrats accountable for what happens as a result of their decision making, suggesting the articles of impeachment are putting them on notice that many want Biden out of office.
However, Gibbs noted that he thinks the impeachment will fail because a Democrat blockade stands in the way. That would be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a Democratic majority. Gibbs appeared to shame the Democrats, saying that “maybe something like this makes the White House think twice before they do some of this nonsense” a reference to their actions in the last several months.
The United States withdrawal from Afghanistan sparked criticism and ended with 13 brave Americans losing their lives. This was possibly a result of poor planning that relied on Taliban defense along the perimeter, allowing the suspect to breach and attack. The same suspect responsible for taking the lives of 13 Americans and injuring many more was reportedly released, by the Taliban, from prison in Bagram.
The border of United States and Mexico has seen thousands of migrants setting up tents under a bridge after crossing into America illegally. At some point the situation became so overwhelming that Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered a makeshift border with a wall of cars, having them park in a long row to deter migrants from escaping into the country illegally.
The federal moratorium on evictions placed a burden on many landlords who rely in rental payments as income, by allowing renters to skip payments, even if they don’t always have to. Some renters may have taken advantage of the situation, but more research would be needed to verify that possibility. Not every landlord can last without collecting their main source of income.
While federal programs and assistance may exist, that does not mean everyone qualifies to receive it, thus leaving some landlords unable to pay their own bills.
