A Turkish father was so distraught over his daughter’s engagement that he killed himself on live video.
Streaming from Kayseri, Turkey, the man, Ayhan Uzun, 54, went on Facebook Live to tell his family and friends of his intention to kill himself because his daughter and her fiance did not ask his permission to get engaged, the Mirror reported.
“I am livestreaming tonight, and it is my will, I do not want the ones who put me in this position to attend my funeral,” he said.
“On my daughter’s happiest day (her engagement), they called me and said to me: ‘Father come have a treat,'” Uzun recalled.
“Nobody asked about me. Nobody treated me like a man. My father-in-law took my place and without having a right he approved my daughter’s wedding.

“Nobody said this girl’s father is alive. Though I would have waited for my daughter and family to say to me: ‘Come father, be with us,” he said according to the translation from the Mirror.
People watching the live stream pleaded with Uzun not to take his life to no avail.
“Maybe some of you will call this a show. I do not want anybody to go through this thing that I am going through.
“A little later I will put an end to my life with the gun I am holding in my hands,” the distraught father said.
Uzun put the gun to his head and said “Goodbye, I am leaving, take good care of yourselves,” before he pulled the trigger.
Facebook’s live streaming service has seen its share of suicides.
In Dec. 2016 a 12-year-old Georgia girl, Katelyn Nicole Davis, killed herself in her front yard on Facebook Live after telling her followers that she was sexually abused by a relative.
A month later a Miami foster child, Nakia Venant, 14, hung herself in her bathroom while streaming on the service.
And other tragedies played out live…
Viewers watched as a car crash claimed the lives of two teens in a Dec. 2016 video.
In January four black teens kidnapped and tortured a white man while streaming it live and yelling “f**k Donald Trump.”
A video in April showed a man walk up to a 74-year-old stranger, while streaming on Facebook live, and execute him.
