Chelsea Clinton is up in arms over President Donald Trump’s words of encouragement to the people of Texas.
The president visited the storm ravaged state of Texas on Saturday and shared many beautiful moments with the people stuck in shelters due to Hurricane Harvey.
From hugging a small child to serving lunch to the victims, good feelings, despite the devastation, were all around.
But the former first daughter, perhaps still bitter that her mom didn’t bring her family back to the White House, chose to take one statement from the president out of context and deride him for it.
“It’s been very nice. It’s been a wonderful thing. It’s – as tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing. I think even for the country to watch and for the world to watch. It’s been beautiful,” the president said, putting a positive spin on a tough situation. “Have a good time everybody, I’m going to be doing a little help over here.”
That quote caused many on social media to express outrage. Among them, Chelsea Clinton.
“People lost their lives, loved ones, homes, beloved pets. Many thousands of people face uncertain futures. Our President on #Harvey,” she wrote with a link to an ABC News story on the quote.

To anyone not suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome it is apparent that the president is referring to how Americans have pulled together for the rescue effort.
As others on social media attempted to explain to Clinton.
Do you disagree that the country coming together to help the people of Houston has been wonderful to watch?

The relentless efforts to help those affected has been amazing to watch. His comments laud those efforts. Go kick over another rock.

I don’t like Trump at all. I think he’s a buffoon. But good grief some of you can’t see straight even when he’s saying the right things.
