If anyone thought that President Donald Trump was kidding about getting tough on illegal immigration, those questions were answered on Thursday.
First, news broke that President Donald Trump was ending the Obama-era program named the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals as it currently exists.
The program allowed illegal immigrants who were brought into the United States as children to receive a renewable two-year period of protection from deportation.
While further details on that decision have to emerge, the Trump administration reportedly started to select contractors to build prototypes of the controversial border wall with Mexico.
The four companies that have been selected to build the prototypes, which are expected to be 30 feet tall and 30 feet wide, are Fisher Sand and Gravel of Arizona, Alabama based Caddell Construction, Texas Sterling Construction and Mississippi’s W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company, according to NPR.
Each prototype is anticipated to cost between $300,000 – $500,000.
“We are extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this important project,” Thomas Fisher, president of Fisher Sand and Gravel said in a statement to AZCentral.com.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection commissioner Ronald Vitiello lauded the selections as “a significant milestone.”
“This is the first tangible result of the action planning that has gone on. This is the use of the resources we had available for this year,” he said at a news conference.
The Resistance, who were angry at the ending of DACA, were outraged that the president is doing hat he promised he would do.

I have so many negative feelings about this. I don’t even know where to begin. What is this America we’re living in?

Did they not hear the president during the 2016 presidential campaign? Or are they not used to politicians doing hat they say they are going to do?
Hmm… What if Amers have to flee from a calamity and that “Wall” stops them? Put that $$$$$ 2 better use.

What? That might be the most ridiculous reason to not build a wall ever made.
wtf! I don’t wanna pay for that! #ImpeachTrump

Many people didn’t want to pay for Obamacare. Elections have consequences.
Seriously shameful. This funding would be better spent on helping out all the people of hurricane Harvey. This wall is a terrible idea

You can do both.
Absolutely no other way we could use that money. #HurricaneHarveyRelief

When did liberals become hawks against government spending?
If Trump’s scare tactics already resulted in a 40% decrease in illegal immigration, why do we need to waste money on a wall?

Because eventually, we will have another president that is weak on illegal immigration again.
