It was a rough night for Democrats and it’s even rougher if they read social media where they were mercilessly mocked.
With the power of celebrity endorsements and tens of millions of dollars in outsider cash, young upstart Jon Ossoff was supposed to provide the hope for a party operating like a turtle on its back.
But instead of the anti-President Trump referendum the polls predicted, Ossoff, who didn’t even live in the district he was running to represent, was defeated comfortably by Republican Karen Handel on Tuesday.
