As Londoners run for their lives, MSNBC asks if police are overreacting

As cable news covered the terrorist attack that rocked London on Saturday, an anchor on one station was mind-numbingly dumb.

MSNBC’s Richard Lui asked his guest, former Homeland Security consultant Mustafa Tameez, if there was a risk of overreacting to the attack.

“Is there any risk of overreaction, of deploying too much,” Lui asked. “Is there ever a point where you go ‘well that’s too much’ or ‘you shouldn’t applying that amount of force there.'”

Tameez quickly shot down the ridiculous question.

“I don’t think the response could be too large, to get enough officers and investigators there to quickly quell and find out what’s going on. It’s not a question of too many officers. It’s a question of using them adequately, smartly, getting all the help you can get.”
