It looks like President Donald Trump has once again tricked Democrats into agreeing with him, whether they know it or not.
In 2018, the president was dogged by the media and leftists for reportedly referring to Haiti and other African nations as “s**thole countries.” This outraged the left, who raced to condemn his comments and show support for Haitians.
Look:
Trump, 2018: “Haiti is a sh!thole country.”
Hollywood Libs: “Haiti is a great, truly beautiful country. Trump is a r*cist!”
Trump (& SCOTUS), 2026: “Temporary means temporary, Haitians have to return home to their great, truly beautiful country.”

Jan 2018. Democrats and the media were apoplectic over Trump’s “shithole” comments, and were engaged in a campaign to defend Haiti.

Now, in 2026, the idea of the Trump administration ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) of hundreds of thousands of immigrants, including Haitians, is equally offensive to the left. Given his deportation agenda, it’s likely that the migrants would be returned to their own country, which Stephen Miller confirmed to reporters.
Watch:
REPORTER: “Do you expect the Administration to deport anyone who loses TPS status as a result of this ruling?”@StephenM: “Well, of course. If no longer have status in this country, then you’re supposed to be deported.” pic.twitter.com/3YOgHaqmq5

Interestingly, a reporter also asked Miller if the administration considers Haiti “a safe country,” which he answered affirmatively and without hesitation.
Watch:
“Does the Administration consider Haiti a safe country?”@StephenM: “For Haitians? Absolutely. Haitians live in Haiti… It’d be crazy for us to say that Haitians couldn’t live in Haiti. It’s their country.” https://t.co/eEjl4F9ye7 pic.twitter.com/69adUrp5c6

“For Haitians? Absolutely. Haitians live in Haiti, it’s not a position that Haitians should leave Haiti. It’d be crazy for us to say that Haitians couldn’t live in Haiti. It’s their country, of course they should live in Haiti,” he explained.
“The fact that there might be pockets in Haiti, where there are higher crime rates? Guess what? There’s pockets of Chicago where the crime rate’s just as high. Right? There’s pockets of cities like St. Louis, where the crime’s just as high. Pockets of Los Angeles. It has never been the case that having communities that have high crime rates is a basis for asylum. Never has been, never will be,” he added.
So if Haiti is so beautiful and wonderful, why is it such a problem that Haitians would be sent back there from the United States?

The Haitians should be in line to get their $2,500+ bonus for deporting themselves to the most beautiful place on the Earth.

Crazy how Haiti went from beautiful to shithole in 5 years. That was under Biden, right?

Since the people are so strong and so is their country , there should be no problem sending all these s******** back. After all the strong strong people.
