Hillary Clinton tells Planned Parenthood ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is cautionary for us. Wait … what?

The future does not look bright for women, according to former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

In fact, it look a lot like the horrid future described in Hulu’s new show “The Handmaid’s Tale” if Clinton is to be believed.

“We come tonight to celebrate the last 100 years, the progress that so many generations have fought so hard for,” she said as she gave a speech to members of America’s number one baby killing organization Planned Parenthood on Tuesday. “What a time it is to be holding this centennial. Just ask those who’ve been watching The Handmaid’s Tale, a book I read and was captivated by years ago.”

Clinton was on hand to receive the Champion of the Century award.

“Now, I am not suggestion this dystopian future is around the corner,” she said. “but this show has prompted important conversations about women’s rights and autonomy. In ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ women’s rights are gradually, slowly stripped away. As one character says, ‘We didn’t look up from our phones until it was too late.’”

If only we elected a woman when we had the chance, right?

According to the show’s description on Hulu, “The Handmaid’s Tale” “is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Facing environmental disasters and a plunging birthrate, Gilead is ruled by a twisted fundamentalism in its militarized ‘return to traditional values.'”

Hold on.

A plunging birthrate?

In this “dystopian” future there wouldn’t be a need for Planned Parenthood would there?
