Mark Cuban: No chance Donald J. Trump organized with Russia during campaign and here’s why …

Billionaire Mark Cuban almost pretended to come to the defense of President Donald Trump in another attention-seeking stunt this week.

Cuban mocked the president while also absolving him of involvement with any Russian efforts to help his campaign.

“No chance this is a DJT-led conspiracy,” Cuban, who endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, tweeted on Saturday. Trump “isn’t detail oriented, organized or big picture enough” to be behind such a campaign, he asserted.

“Russians have made him a lot of money buying condos and investing in his bldgs and hosting his beauty pageant. That makes them his friends,” Cuban argued. “He ignored their backgrounds. But that’s not unusual. Starbucks takes anyone’s money and so do most businesses including mine.”

But the Dallas Mavericks owner was also quick to accuse the president of being stupid in his tweetstorm.

“Trump had no idea this was happening. He was doing what he was told to do. Stick to the script and read what was written for him,” the “Shark Tank” star tweeted. “Because he didn’t recognize or understand as it was happening he has no idea what to do now or how to respond. So he turns to Fox News.”

Cuban also predicted the stock market would tank if President Trump won the election. A prediction that was spectacularly incorrect.

And in February he used a basketball jersey to hint that he might make a run at the White House in 2020.

He also turned some heads when he dined with Steve Bannon after President Trump’s election.

By those actions, and his tweets on Saturday, it is apparent that Cuban is a man that likes to hedge his bets.
