Despite her history as a consummate liberal activist, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell was bullied on her own show by a Democrat strategist for daring to ask questions about Hillary Clinton’s seemingly delicate health.
Democrat strategist Bob Shrum scolded Mitchell during her broadcast Tuesday for talking of Hillary’s health, saying that the issue was of no interest to the American people, according to the Free Beacon.
Even as Shrum buttered Mitchell up saying, “I love you” and “I respect you immensely,” Shrum sapped her down for talking of Hillary’s troubles.
“There is absolutely no evidence for these health allegations … I just think we’re going to see more and more of this,” Shrum bloviated. “I think (Donald) Trump is going to sink deeper and deeper into the mud. I don’t think it’s going to rescue him. I don’t think attacking emails, health, the Clinton Foundation, I don’t think any of that’s going anywhere.”
Mitchell pushed back a bit, reminding the Democrat operative that the FBI had not quite closed the book on the investigation into Hillary’s email scandal.
“That was my point,” Shrum said in retort. “There is no evidence that the FBI thinks that legally there is anything to move forward on here. I think the press is making a big mistake; it’s taking the bait, and I think the reason is they want a race. I love you, I respect you immensely, but I don’t think that this is what the American people want to talk about. They want to talk about jobs. They want to talk about health care … We’re still on this same old story.”
After being scolded by Shrum for saying anything that might be remotely thought of as negative about Hillary, Mitchell essentially apologized for her indiscretion.
“Let me just say for the record that sometimes our job is to look at things that may not be what the public wants to know about, but that if the Clinton Foundation, if the Clintons had been more transparent all along … this would not be an issue,” she said.
Mitchell is hardly a hard charging reporter. She has a long history of covering for Democrats.
Just in the past few weeks, for instance, she was caught editing a story to eliminate harsh criticism of Bill Clinton’s history of being hit with rape accusations.
In July Mitchell showed off her bias with a puff piece slobberingly claiming that Barack Obama was somehow just like Abraham Lincoln.
Mitchell even did some scolding of her own when she admonished then outsider Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for daring to criticize Bill Clinton.
Additionally, back during the 2012 election, Mitchell did her best to help Barack Obama’s re-election campaign when she presented deceptively edited video of GOP candidate Mitt Romney in an attempt to make it seem as if Romney was out of touch with Americans.
