The end is near, according to some of well-connected and ultra-rich. At least that seems to be what a growing number of liberal elites in Los Angeles think as they rush to build luxurious underground bunkers so that they can survive the coming apocalypse.
These super rich folks such as computer mogul Bill Gates and a list of actors, politicians, and sports stars, are building lavish bunkers that include swimming pools, full service kitchens, and in at least one case a bowling alley, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In a piece originally entitled “Bunker Builders Anticipate Lucrative Trumpocalypse,” the Reporter notes that several builders of underground bunkers in the area have reported a “700 percent increase” in orders of the secretive lairs among the rich and famous.
“Any time there is a turbulent political landscape, we see a spike in our sales. Given this election is as turbulent as it is, we are gearing up for an even bigger spike,” marketing director Brad Roberson of a bunker-building company told the paper.
Another bunker-builder notes that billionaire Bill Gates has such a bunker in his California home. “Bill Gates has huge shelters under every one of his homes, in Rancho Santa Fe and Washington. His head of security visited with us a couple years ago, and for these multibillionaires, a few million is nothing. It’s really just the newest form of insurance,” said Robert Vicino, founder of Del Mar, Calif.-based Vivo.
Vivo also noted that his company built a 37-room, 9,000-square-foot complex in Napa Valley for a famous actor. The facility includes a bowling alley, sauna, jacuzzi, shooting range and an ultra-large home theater. In another case his company built a $3 million bunker for “a major sports figure from Southern California.”
Now, remember when liberals called people “extremists” for saying the end of the world is coming? But we get one candidate running for president they don’t like and suddenly they are preaching “the end,” too.
Get a load of some of these facilities…
What do they say about the end of the world? Only cockroaches will survive?
