Senator John Fetterman has been keeping a relatively low profile since he drew fire for showing up at a debt ceiling news conference looking like he just crawled out of a dumpster last month but he’s back in the news with an endorsement for mind-altering substances, specifically psilocybin mushrooms.
That the baldheaded, hulking, tattooed leftist would be pimping shrooms shouldn’t be all that shocking because his home state is one of the nation’s leading producers of the crop but that he would be singing the praises of the illicit hallucinogenic is a sad sign of the moral decline of the times as well as being very on-brand for the new breed of morally bereft Democrats that are slowly taking over for the geriatric hippies.
“I’ve been an advocate of psychedelics in terms of the magic mushrooms for PSTDs and for veterans especially, and I always thought, what an amaz… and I thought… and it could be… maybe I’m wrong, an amazing economic kind of boom for the mushroom…, he said during a recent Senate Agriculture subcommittee hearing.
“I think it could be a revolution in mental health. Are you open to thinking of that?” Fetterman asked Pietro farms owner Chris Alonzo.
High Times magazine, long the gospel for the drug-abusing counterculture was very impressed by the senator’s thumbs up for the psychadelic substance.

Fetterman has been pushing the shrooms since before he managed to get elected to the U.S. Senate despite his obvious mental issues resulting from a debilitating stroke last year.
Open up research into Psilocybin.
We are the mushroom capital of the world.

Perhaps Fetterman has been out of the loop but the nation is dealing with a raging drug crisis, especially with fentanyl, and encouraging young people to gobble down psychadelic mushrooms isn’t exactly an idea that will improve matters.
Also lending support to the magic mushroom “revolution” is the senator’s wife Gisele Barreto Fetterman.
Yay to supporting mushroom farmers and their crops ❤️ Psilocybin mushrooms next, please? 🙏🏽😏🍄 https://t.co/2mBzKUpQvA

While seasoned dopers and Democrats have championed the breakdown of societal barriers against illicit mind-altering substances, there is a good reason why such drugs have been illegal.
What a dope. Literally.
I have known brilliant people in my life who have completely ruined their minds by overindulging in this stuff. #Fetterman https://t.co/Oir6hOOx3v— MƈLιႦҽɾTҽα (@McLiberTea) June 9, 2023
