Pop diva Katharine McPhee: ‘I blame every single one of you woke voters’ for soaring crime in California

Singer/songwriter and “American Idol” runner-up Katharine McPhee has taken to social media to lament crime-infested Los Angeles and the “woke voters” whom she apparently considers responsible for the ongoing lawlessness.

Villainy — which includes follow-home robberies — has extended even into upscale L.A. neighborhoods where rich liberals live.

In one Instagram story in which she shared information about a mugging of an elderly man in upscale Beverly Hills, McPhee wrote “This is literally my worry and thought every time I go out now. We need @rickcarusola…What’s this world coming to?…@streetpeopleofbeverlyhills…I blame every single woke vote. Seniors getting beat up in while walking. Keep voting for this. What a sad state this city is in.”

McPhee, 38, is backing Republican-turned-Democrat Rick Caruso. a wealthy businessman and philanthropist running on a law-and-order platform for Los Angeles mayor over rival Karen Bass, the far-left congresswoman and potential Joe Biden 2020 running mate who is backed by the Democrat establishment.

Celebrities in the entertainment sector have to walk on eggshells when even mildly dissenting from the liberal narrative, especially an association with a quasi-Republican.

Caruso is receiving support from a few liberal show-business luminaries, however, which demonstrates a recognition of how the quality of life throughout the L.A. area — including violent and random street assaults, smash and grabs, and rampant vagrancy — has decayed for every resident.

McPhee also implied on the social media platform that, because of the threat of robbery, she will no longer wear any expensive bling when out and about in Los Angles.

“This is not the first time the ‘American Idol’ alum has shared her opinion on politics,” Fox News reported. “In February, McPhee slammed Stacey Abrams…for posing maskless with a group of schoolchildren despite a mandate being in place.”

On her Instagram page, McPhee wrote at the time: “What the actual hell…politicians at their finest. Mask up the children and you yourself sit without a mask. The hypocrisy continues. I’m sure she will say…‘but I had my mask in my hand!’”

The chaotic situation in L.A. arguably got worse after the election of George Gascon, one of a number of George Soros-backed soft-on-crime, Democrat prosecutors (or non-prosecutors when it comes to putting violent, repeat offenders behind bars) in America.

Gascon appears likely to face a recall election, an effort that Caruso has endorsed.

McPhee is married to music producer David Foster, 72; the couple, who celebrated their nuptials in June 2019, have one child together.

Woke Twitter predictably isn’t taking kindly to McPhee’s comments. Here is just a small sample and some of the responses:
