Democrats and their media minions aren’t taking the ratings failure of the nationally televised debut of the select committee on the January 6, 2021 chaos at the Capitol very well and are blaming the underwhelming reception of Thursday night’s primetime opener on Fox News which declined to broadcast the propaganda spectacle live.
On Sunday’s edition of “Reliable Sources,” host Brian Stelter bemoaned the idea that CNN’s competitor didn’t fall in line with the other networks and, adding insult to injury, dared to present an opposing viewpoint that expressed skepticism about the legitimacy of the Dem-stacked tribunal, an all-star squad of Trump haters who were hand-picked by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Stelter was very, very upset that Fox News did not go along with the establishment narrative and the sham committee, whining that “Fox News put feelings over facts” by refusing to televise the initial J6 hearing as he complained for several minutes about Tucker Carlson and various aspects of the network’s coverage of Thursday’s show trial.
He then welcomed Garrett Graff of Wired who took it one step further, suggesting that Fox News is a danger to “democracy” and even going so far as to say that the conservative network was an “unindicated co-conspirator” in the fateful day’s events, a wild suggestion that could soon become a focal point of the inquisition with Chris Stirewalt, a former Fox News editor scheduled to testify on Monday.
The host asked Graff about an article he wrote for Wired on Thursday’s spectacle in which he wrote that. “Despite the shocking clarity of the committee’s opening presentation, it remains uncertain at best whether it will be able to break through America’s political polarization and its increasingly separate-and-unequal media ecosystems.”

Graff, who is the latest media figure to cash in off of Watergate with his recently released book “Watergate: A New History,” which repackages the 50-year-old scandal that took down President Richard M. Nixon for a new generation, responded.
“One of the things, you know, this is almost 50 years after the Watergate burglary, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the comparisons then and now,” he said, dropping the obligatory Watergate reference. “And the challenge that we now face is that Fox has created in the right-wing media ecosystem beyond it has created an alternate set of realities that have disinformed and outright lied to their viewers and the American people,”
“And that it makes democracy very hard to function when citizens are starting with fundamentally different sets of beliefs about what actually happened,” Graff continued. “Democracy requires a certain agreement upon a set of facts such that citizens can participate actively and thoughtfully in their own government,” he added. And Fox is sort of step-by-step lying to the American people night after night in a way that has torn their viewers from reality.”
“I think that it is not surprising to me that they kept the truth of the Thursday night January 6th committee hearings from their public because there’s a very strong argument that Fox News writ large is effectively an unindicted co-conspirator in the violence and insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th,” he declared.
A J6 committee Democrat also appeared on CNN over the weekend when Rep. Zoe Lofgren – herself a Watergate veteran – whined to Jim Acosta that Fox News’ refusal to broadcast their disgraceful Soviet-style tribunal was “cancel culture on steroids,” in a bitter reaction to the disappointing ratings from the opening hearing.

What doesn’t get much attention is that the traditionally accepted meaning of the term ‘democracy’ has been twisted so that it has now come to mean whatever the Democrats and the Beltway establishment believe as being in their own interests, and by opposing the narrative, Fox News must be discredited if not destroyed by the power-drunk party in power and their media mouthpieces.

What a compliment. Most Americans are not watching beauty queen Liz Cheney and other such ugly people. A circus, clown elephants, crazy old ladies with senile round bald old men. “If I only had a brain”. Disgusting.
Why would Fox want to cover an illegiment Democrat committee. If they would have let Jorden and Banks on committee they would have destroyed this committees accusations. The Dems do want the real story because it would show them in a really bad light. Nasty Nancy and Chuckee boy turned down NationalGuard. This committees a joke!
Michael Byrd and Nancy Pelosi should be in prison for the murder of Ashli.
You can just watch a soap opera. Same amount of reality.
Who has the time or internet for either?
