Trump spokesman sets record straight after J6 committee plays his deceptively edited deposition

The political circus of the select committee hearings on the January 6, 2021 chaos at the U.S. Capitol was broadcast into the nation’s living rooms on Thursday night, a choreographed propaganda spectacle with the primary intent of conducting a public show trial of former President Donald J. Trump in absentia.

From its opening moments when Democrat Rep. Chairman Bennie Thompson likened the so-called “insurrection” to slavery, lynching and the Ku Klux Klan, the panel sought to score maximum impact in its primetime slot by hooking the audience with an emotionally wrenching and some would contend, manipulated presentation of its case to prevent Trump from another run for the White House in 2024.

One such manipulation was the video that the committee presented of Trump spokesman Jason Miller as it sought to establish its ginned-up conspiracy theory that the ex-POTUS spent months plotting to overturn an election that to this day, he has insisted wasn’t on the up-and-up.

The Miller clip, one of several featuring Trump allies and family members that were teed up by malicious actor Liz Cheney who got her star turn in a production that was carried by every major network with the exception of Fox News, focused on a call with campaign data expert Matt Oczkowski telling Trump that he was going to lose based on the election returns.

The clip of Miller’s deposition was lacking in its proper context with only the portion that bolstered the committee’s effort to frame Trump for an attempted coup presented to the viewing audience and he took to Twitter to set the record straight.

“1/ Here’s what came next in my testimony, which Liz Cheney failed to play,” Miller wrote. “Q: Okay. And what was the President’s reaction then when Matt said to him, “Hey, we’ve looked at the numbers, you’re going to lose”?”

“A: I think it’s safe to say he disagreed with Matt’s analysis,” providing the important missing context that ran counter to the committee’s constructed narrative.

“2/ Q: On what basis? Did he give a basis?” Miller added in a second tweet. “A: He believed that Matt was not looking at the prospect of legal challenges going our way and that Matt was looking at purely from what those numbers were showing as opposed to broader things to include legality and election integrity…”

“3/ …issues which, as a data guy, he may not have been monitoring,” Miller wrote in a third tweet.

The usual gaggle of Twitter-addicted Trump haters treated the misleading Miller clip as the smoking gun that had fired the silver bullet that would FINALLY put an end to Trump’s political career.

Trump reacted to the Soviet-style dog and pony show and the former ABC television producer hired by the committee to package their product for mass consumption.

“So the Unselect Committee of political HACKS refuses to play any of the many positive witnesses and statements, refuses to talk of the Election Fraud and Irregularities that took place on a massive scale, and decided to use a documentary maker from Fake News ABC to spin only negative footage,” he said on Truth Social. “Our Country is in such trouble!”

  1. This farce has no staying power. Their lies have gone on for nearly 6-years now and even the blind are able to see through it. And with everything else that is more important in chaos, add this show trial to Russia gate and the two impeachments. Pelosi’s version of the “gang who couldn’t shoot straight.” A pathetic waste of more of our time and tax dollars.

    The only question now is whether the revolution will be political or violent.

Anyone remember this: Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday jokingly asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) if she brought her “handcuffs” in an apparent reference to the Democrat leader insinuating she could put him and other Trump Cabinet members in jail. 5/15/2019 Started watching it, turned it off.

  6. They all like to keep using Barr’s ” bul lshlt ” quote as gospel but Barr later admitted that he NEVERhad seen the data and accusations of fraud committed on that day. He was not informed about all of the evidence and affidavits when he shot from the hip with his own ” bul lshlt ” story.

    1. That’s right. All those comments were made based on election night info, the same stuff we saw on TV, not info colected over the following days and weeks.
      The question is did Trump have actual knowledge on the election from say Space Force or military intel. that could not be public knowledge.
      As far as the court issue goes for Trump never got there. Courts refused to look at the evidence. Why? Probably for fear of country wide disruption. Put differently they refused to do their jobs because of their own fear.
      The committee is typical democrat justice, for that matter Communist or Nazi justice, with no witnesses from the opposing side. That’s the reason they would not allow Jordon and Banks on the committee was because they would ask the hard questions. The committee is not balanced by the way the house is balanced or the dems. could have only one more member than the Rpubs. on the committee. This is a kangaroo court and i hope all recognizes it. If not and we contonue in this direction you may very well face this type of court yourself not for doing something illegal but for something the powers don’t like. You know like standing up fpr your kids at a school board meeting.

  8. How much of our tax dollars did the dems spend on this primetime sham hearing? Those are more tax dollars that could have gone towards mental health issues and further security for our nation’s schools…like the $40bill that we just gave to the Ukraine. There’s your smoking gun! The hearing itself is the smoking gun proving that democrats don’t give a crap about what people in this country are going through with the 40 year high inflation numbers that just came out, the 3x+ gas price increases and so on. They’re so SCARED of DJT that they continue, even a year an half since he’s been in office, to waste taxpayer money trying to bring the man down. The people in this country should be outraged that the democrats are more concerned with Donald Trump than the sinking ship their guy Biden has been slamming into one iceberg after another since he took office.

    I didn’t watch this crap last night and I hope the ratings show that most real Americans didn’t either. Such total garbage!

Given the whole thing about “bots” on Twitter, I can’t help but wonder how many of the goofs and dweebs you found who take this thing seriously are borderline bots… With how bad things are going, I’m almost waiting for some of them to come around and say they wished “Trump’s insurrection” actually succeeded.
