Elon Musk dunks on hapless blue-check lib after AOC trust poll backfires bigly

Loyal supporters of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rallied to defend her after she was mocked for saying that she was ready to ditch her beloved Tesla over a spat with billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of the electric vehicle manufacture but one blue-check blogger stepped on a rake when a poll that he posted spectacularly backfired.

David Weissman who writes opinion pieces for the far-left website Occupy Democrats as well as being a prolific tweeter sought to prove a point that conservative polls were not an accurate reflection of American opinion and decided that it would be a great idea to invite responses on who is more trustworthy, the socialist diva AOC or Musk but he soon had egg dripping from his smug face as the results came in.

Weissman, an Army veteran who identifies himself as “Former MAGA, now a Biden voter” on his Occupy Democrats bio, wrote “Let’s prove how phony the right’s ridiculous polls are by doing one of our own. Who do you trust more @elonmusk @AOC,” and it wasn’t even remotely close.

In the final verdict rendered by participants, the Tesla/SpaceX CEO absolutely destroyed the loquacious New York City narcissist by a score 81.2 to 18.8 percent, a clobbering that only further serves to illustrate that coastal cultural elite leftists exist inside of a reality-free bubble that in no way reflects the views of the nation as a whole, Weisman’s ill-fated poll drew 375,365 responses.

The poll caught the attention of Musk himself who couldn’t resist dunking on the hapless leftist screed monger.

“At first, I thought this was a parody,” tweeted Musk punctuating his dunk with a laughing emoji.

Weissman sniped back, “I thought you were one as well but well played.”

Responses from Twitter users were a mixed bag, with some loving it and others suggesting foul play.

To his credit, Weissman is at least for now, leaving the poll results up.

“Not sure how this poll flipped but I won’t delete it and will take the L,” he tweeted.

AOC told Bloomberg that she is prepared to ditch her Model 3, stating that she instead wants to get an EV that is made by unionized labor, a key constituency of the Democratic Party despite the currently limited selection of such vehicles.

Ocasio-Cortez bought her Tesla for the commute between her home district which includes parts of the Bronx and Queens and Washington, D.C., during the COVID pandemic.

“At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she told Bloomberg. “I would love to switch.”
