AOC wants to ditch her Tesla after spat with Elon Musk, ‘I would love to switch’

Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is fuming mad at billionaire Elon Musk and is prepared to get rid of her beloved Tesla electric vehicle in a public gesture of her dissatisfaction with yet another one of her cries for attention.

The socialist diva told Bloomberg that she is prepared to ditch her Model 3, stating that she instead wants to get an EV that is made by unionized labor, a key constituency of the Democratic Party despite the currently limited selection of such vehicles.

“The only union-made electric vehicles for sale in the U.S. are the Chevrolet Bolt, the slightly larger Bolt EUV and Ford’s F-150 Lightning pickup,” according to Bloomberg which interviewed the New York City lawmaker for a story that was published on Wednesday about Democrats’ fondness for Musk’s cars despite their dislike of him personally.

“He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks,” AOC said when asked for her take on Musk’s announcement that he would no longer support the “party of division and hate” and that he will now be voting Republican. He has also spoken out about what he describes as the “woke mind virus” of the left which includes the congresswoman’s cult-like followers.

Ocasio-Cortez bought her Tesla for the commute between her home district which includes parts of the Bronx and Queens and Washington, D.C., during the COVID pandemic.

“At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she told Bloomberg. “I would love to switch.”

Like her fellow party members, Ocasio-Cortez isn’t pleased with the Tesla/SpaceX CEO’s purchase of Twitter and the idea that he could soon level the playing field by ending censorship on the platform led her to lash out at Musk, suggesting that he is somehow responsible for an “explosion of hate crimes” in one of her hysterical missives.

Musk then put her in her place, shooting back last month, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,” flipping the script on the leader of “The Squad” who responded to criticism after being caught maskless in Miami over the holidays by claiming that sexually frustrated Republicans just wanted to date her.

Ocasio-Cortez’s Tesla drew attention last year when it was spotted illegally parked in front of a Whole Foods market that was connected to the luxury apartments that she lives in.

While Ocasio-Cortez may be ready for a switch over her snit with Musk, other Democrats still love their Tesla EVs including Senator Tom Carper from President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware.

“It is just so much fun to drive,” Carper said, according to Bloomberg. “I’m able to charge it at home, plug it in at 10 o’clock at night when electricity rates are pretty low, so it’s quite a bargain.”

Another Dem senator, Mark Kelly of Arizona, the owner of a black Model S Performance told the outlet, “This car is a lot of fun to drive. It’s also generally good for the environment, right? Zero emissions.”

“I’m not a Musk fan, but I appreciate, like, he is both brilliant and incredibly arrogant,” said Martin Heinrich, a Senate Democrat from New Mexico. “People can separate these things. Should he pay more taxes? Yes. Do I want him to stop making cars? Absolutely not.”

Other Democrat lawmakers of note who own Teslas are Rep. Adam Schiff of California, Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware, and Rep. Tom Malinowski of New Jersey, according to Bloomberg.
