Saxena: Biden voters who’re struggling have only themselves to blame

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

The economy is in tatters, gas prices are through the roof, and shortages are cropping up across the nation, but according to the typical Biden-voting leftist, the blame for all this lies with everybody but the garbage party they voted into office two years ago.

It lies with COVID, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump, and “greedy” oil/gas companies, “greedy” billionaires, “greedy” Republicans — greedy anybody who’s actually successful and not a resentful crank who blames their piss-poor life and poor decision-making on others.

And let’s be perfectly clear here: Voting for President Joe Biden because of irrational fear and anger over the Big Bad Orange Man was a horrible decision.

While Trump was admittedly immature with his words, his administration was stocked with actual grown adults, not yapping, infantile children who take offense to mere words; who squeal in glee over being the first this, that, or the other; and who think their fancy degrees trump their dearth of real-world experience.

This administration is, quite frankly, the epitome of an idiocracy, from the ditzy interns who post asinine tweets about “pregnant people” to the dullard in chief whose every policy prescription is most certainly to blame for the current crisis.

Yes, that’s right, the Idiot King and his congressional Democrat court jesters that you Biden voters elected to office deserve full, unwavering blame for your dwindling bank accounts, your gas tank that now takes $100+ to fill, and your inability to purchase a spate of products, including baby formula.

Let me repeat this so it’s clear.

Your woes are not the fault of the global COVID pandemic:

And they’re certainly not the fault of “greedy” oil/gas companies:

They’re the fault of President Joe Biden, the Democrat Party, the garbage policies they’ve pursued since taking power, and all of you who voted them into office in the first place.

Regarding gas prices, for instance, Reason magazine notes that this administration’s actions “have included halting new permits for drilling and leases on federal lands, shutting down the planned Keystone XL pipeline, and proposing the end of tax credits for new drilling and exploration projects.”

Meanwhile, “congressional Democrats … have been working to tighten regulations loosened during the Trump years and otherwise clamp down on oil producers.”

Keep in mind this list is not comprehensive. For a fuller recounting of the administration’s garbage policy-making vis-a-vis oil and gas, read this.

Regarding inflation, even Vox — a bastion of far-left, “woke” rhetoric — has admitted that the president’s exorbitant spending, particularly his 2021 COVID stimulus, “worsened inflation.”

“In retrospect, it seems that Democrats simply didn’t take [inflation] seriously enough back in early 2021. They wrongly concluded that a stimulus far in excess of what models said was necessary was the less risky option. They thought they were still in the ‘money printer go brrr’ era, where there was less pressure to be judicious about where that money was going — so instead of targeting help to those who needed it, they sent hundreds of billions of dollars to well-off Americans and states doing just fine, for political reasons,” according to Vox.

Regarding baby formula, word emerged this week that the administration has been shipping large pallets of baby formula to the southern U.S. border to take care of detained (versus deported) illegal alien families.

In fairness, The Washington Post notes that the Flores consent decree requires that illegal alien families be provided with baby formula. However, the Post neglects to mention that thanks to this administration’s lax border policies, a record number of illegal aliens — over 100,000 per month, including families — are crossing into the U.S.

So yes, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is required to provide illegal alien families with baby formula. But I imagine they wouldn’t need so much baby formula in the first place if this administration actually cared about securing the border, which it clearly doesn’t.

Meanwhile, National Economic Council director Brian Deese confirmed to CNN on Friday that the Biden administration has been aware of a growing baby formula shortage since at least February.

The administration’s lack of concrete action on the baby formula shortage is so stark that even Mother Jones, another bastion of far-left thought, has a piece up with this stunning headline: “Why Isn’t Biden Doing More to Address the Baby Formula Shortage?”

No joke:

All this is happening (or not happening, I suppose) as the Biden administration is funding crack pipes for drug addicts, funneling billions of dollars to Ukraine, paying TikTok stars to proselytize to children, and spending $30,000/month to protect Hunter Biden as he lives the high life in Malibu.

And oh, Democrats, including the Biden administration, are simultaneously trying “to pursue policies that could be actively harmful,” including “a proposed tax on ‘windfall’ oil profits, which would likely reduce oil production exactly when we want output to increase,” and “a mass student debt jubilee, which could drive consumer demand even higher,” according to Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell.

And like Vox, she too says they’re doing this for political reasons.

“It may feel good to throw red meat to the anti-corporate populist left. Righteous fury about evil businesses earns plenty of retweets. But it has also hampered Democrats’ efforts to get inflation under control — and in so doing, sabotaged their reelection prospects,” she writes.

Justifiably so.

Anyway …

You dumb bastards who voted Democrats into office own all of this, point blank period. Why the venomous rage from me? Because it irritates me to hear the same people who complained through years straight of Trump-era economic booms act pouty now that everything is predictably falling apart around them.

Worse still is seeing them cast blame on everybody else, including Donald Trump, instead of the fools in charge — the fools they blindly voted for.

But you know what? I’m a forgiving guy. I’ll grant you Democrat voters my mercy and sympathy, but only if you admit that you erred in judgment and should have voted for Donald Trump, the big, bad orange man who — hate him or love him — at least knew how to run a country.

Otherwise, I have very little sympathy for you if your bank account is plummeting, your kids are without baby formula, and your every waking moment is a struggle to survive, because like I explained in the headline, it’s your fault we’re in this mess!
