Leftists lined up after 18-year-old Payton Gendron went on an alleged shooting spree at a Buffalo, New York supermarket where he gunned down ten innocent people, predictably linking it to Kyle Rittenhouse being found not guilty after shooting in self-defense during the 2020 Kenosha riot.
After the shooting occurred on Saturday, social media filled up with tweets from the left that falsely sought to compare the Rittenhouse case with the Buffalo mass shooting by Gendron.
Rittenhouse shot and killed two white men who were attacking him during a Black Lives Matter riot. It had nothing to do with race and everything to do with self-defense.
Gendron was a self-proclaimed “authoritarian left-wing” radical who killed ten people because of their race and for no other reason according to his manifesto. He proclaimed his hatred of blacks, Jews, transgender people, and even Fox News.
The false narrative from the left is being echoed all over the place, drawing a flawed correlation between Rittenhouse and Gendron, and somehow coming to the conclusion that since he was found innocent, that led to the shooting by Gendron.
A perfect example of this insanity comes from the vice-chair of the Oregon Democratic Black Caucus, Gregory McKelvey, who tweeted, “Black people being gunned down is what happens when society lifts Rittenhouse up as a hero and treats Kaepernick as a villain.”

Attorney Tristan Snell also went there, “Remember when we said that acquitting Kyle Rittenhouse would embolden the next Kyle Rittenhouse to be far worse? Yeah.”

And other leftists couldn’t resist and piled on as well.
With Kyle Rittenhouse.

It will never not amaze me how the police manage to routinely kill unarmed Black folks while routinely not killing armed, dangerous, murdering white men. Kyle Rittenhouse. Dylan Roof. Payton Gendron.

We are witnessing the Kyle Rittenhouse effect.

Then you have commenters such as Angelika Sabine, who blame all of it on the “Great Replacement Theory.”
The theory supposedly asserts that leaving the southern border of the United States wide open to illegal immigration is an attempt to change racial demographics to pad the Democratic voting base and keep progressives in power indefinitely.
“Replacement Theory Is Refashioned by #GOP The same people who created a killer Rittenhouse, @FoxNews, @TuckerCarlson and the @GOP created the killer in Buffalo, and they are already creating the next mass-shooter,” she disingenuously tweeted alluding to both conservative politics and apparently the Second Amendment.
The conflation of the Great Replacement Theory with skepticism about illegal immigration or concerns about the cultural assimilation of immigrants is a sham designed to lump in white supremacism with mainstream political concerns. And it's a perfectly obvious sham.

The widespread gaslighting over this and false comparison between the two incidents can be shown in the echoing of the cries from the left on the World Socialist Web Site which even took the time to swipe at President Joe Biden, ridiculously attempting to connect him to Republicans.
“It is necessary to state bluntly: The mass shooting on Sunday was a political crime. It was carried out by a racist and anti-Semite on the basis of a definite, fascist political ideology. But while Biden refers to the ‘stain on the soul of America’ in relation to the mass killing in Buffalo, he refers to the ideological and political inspirers of this attack—that is, dominant sections of the Republican Party—as his ‘colleagues,'” socialist author Barry Grey wrote.
“The fascistic representatives in the Republican Party might not carry out such attacks themselves, but they promote the political and ideological conceptions behind them. The conceptions of ‘Replacement Theory’ are expounded in different forms at Republican Party conferences and by fascistic media personalities,” he goes on to state.
Kyle Rittenhouse killed a violent pedophile. The Buffalo terrorist murdered unarmed black Americans. The left sees these the victims of the Buffalo attack as being the same as violent pedophiles. Utterly vile. Totally revealing. These people are sick!

“This party controls the Supreme Court, which is about to rip up the constitutional right of women to an abortion, accelerating the assault on all democratic rights. And it is poised to take control of both houses of Congress in the November mid-term elections,” Grey asserts.
“It is under these conditions that fascist gunmen such as Kyle Rittenhouse, who murdered two anti-police violence protesters and injured a third, are acquitted, and militia members who plotted to kidnap or kill Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer are set free, with the open support of large sections of the Republican Party,” the author contends, not-so-strangely parroting leftists who share this malformed logic, attempting to cast blame on the right for a myriad of reasons over the mass shooting when it has demonstrably no basis in fact.
