Payton Gendron, the deranged 18-year-old shooter who murdered ten people at an upstate New York grocery store, reportedly wrote the name of one of the “Dancing Grannies” who was killed during the Waukesha Christmas massacre on the gun he used in his shooting spree.
The Daily Beast is reporting that photographs taken of the rifle that was used in the shooting had the white woman’s misspelled name scrawled on it along with the name of another parade victim. Her name was Virginia Sorenson. The N-word was also allegedly written on the barrel.
Of the 13 people that Gendron shot, 11 were black according to officials. Ten of his victims died.
Sorenson, 79, was at the November event as part of the “Dancing Grannies” troupe when a black man named Darrel Edward Brooks took his SUV and plowed into the crowd, running over her and killing the “Dancing Granny” along with four other members of the group. Brooks had reportedly shared social media posts that supported Black Lives Matter and called for violence against white people.
Waukesha police would eventually claim that Brooks did not plan the attack or seek to target white people despite his hateful extremist views posted online. Brooks is still awaiting trial on 77 charges, including six counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

Authorities claim that Gendron planned the attack for months and drove hours to carry it out in Buffalo, New York in a predominantly black neighborhood. Thirteen people were shot at the Tops Friendly Supermarket on Saturday. Ten were killed including a security guard who attempted to take Gendron down. The shooter had tactical gear on and the shots did not stop him. He then shot and killed the guard.
The shooter left a 180-page manifesto online that allegedly focused on the “Great Replacement Theory.” The theory reportedly contends that leaving the southern border of the United States wide open to illegal immigration is an attempt to change racial demographics to pad the Democratic voting base and keep progressives in power indefinitely.
In his manifesto, he mentioned other racially motivated killings and said he “mostly agreed” with Brenton Harrison Tarrant, who live-streamed his own murderous rampage that killed 51 people attending a New Zealand mosque in March 2019. He also allegedly discussed his hatred of blacks, Jews, leftists, and transgender people and purportedly contended that he was “authoritarian left-wing.”

Gendron claims he started planning the shooting back in January and chose the Tops Supermarket in Buffalo because “it has the highest black population percentage” by zip code. A section of the manifesto lays out his step-by-step plans for the day of the shooting, including the corned beef hash he ate for breakfast, how he would drive to Buffalo and scout out the supermarket, how he would wear his body armor and carry his gun, and how he would post a live-stream of the massacre online.
He allegedly carried out the attack at 3 pm instead of 4 pm according to the New York Post. Gendron was stopped before he could also go on a planned rampage through the neighborhood.
He has pleaded not guilty to murder charges and is expected to face additional ones as prosecutors prep their case against him. Gendron previously underwent a mental health evaluation after he threatened to shoot up his graduation ceremony.
