‘That guy can’t do anything!’: Seth Meyers and Co. unload on Biden, Dems after Roe overturn leak

In a lame attempt at parody on Seth Meyers’ NBC late-night talk show, a “disheartened” Meyers and two performers actually mocked follicly-challenged President Joe Biden and the Democrat Party for supposedly running out of options to stop the U.S. Supreme Court from overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

It remains to be seen if that is actually what happens if or when the high court’s decision is finalized.

Other than “Gutfeld!,” the late-night so-called entertainment programs typically operate as infomercials for the Democrat agenda, so the mockery in the video clip embedded above is a departure.

Meyers introduced the segment by highlighting the protocol-violating leak of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft of the opinion in Dobbs. v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization which is purportedly a work in progress and not official.

In the cringey scripted skit, overacting and screaming show writers Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel pretended to be panicky, flip-flopping Democrat National Committee representatives.

They kept dropping bleeped-out F-bombs in the back and forth when a seeking-reassurance Meyers asked them if the Dems had a plan to prevent the landmark abortion-rights decision from being set aside.

One idea was for President Biden to issue an executive order preserving abortion rights. “Okay, that’s a great idea; he’ll do that, right?” a hopeful Meyers, who is a Trump-loathing liberal, wondered

“F– no,” Ruffin declared.

“That guy can’t do anything! He can’t forgive $3 in student loans,” Hagel said.

“The guy can’t even maintain the back of his haircut. He’s losing the fight against his own mullet, but you think he’s gonna win the fight for abortion rights?” Ruffin  asserted.

Remember: This is supposed to be comedy.

At the beginning of the exchange which seems like another bad “Saturday Night Live” sketch (and Meyers is an alum of that long-running show), the duo admitted that their party actually doesn’t have a plan.

“We’re the Democrats, we can barely tie our own f—–g shoes,” Hagel admitted. “We’re Democrats; we couldn’t find something to write with in a pencil factory,” Ruffin added.

In another form of what they considered humor, the duo claimed that there are “17 conservatives” on the Supreme Court and “30 of them are Catholic….we’re so f—-d.”

Congress, even with Democrats in charge, is of no help (at least as things stand now) because of Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) the two make-believe Democrat officials also observed.

Content like this is perhaps why Greg Gutfeld’s above-mentioned Fox News show at 11 p.m. Eastern time is often outdoing more established network late-night fare in the ratings. “People don’t go to entertainment for homework,” Gutfeld told Forbes, in part. “People have had it with being told that every institution in your life is somehow oppressor vs. oppressed.”

His show has become successful because “it’s a combination of we’re entertainment, and we’re not homework,” the host opined.

“So that we’re the people having fun, and the left, Democrats, are the scolds,” Gutfeld added.

  1. The Democrats can’t do anything, huh? I’m sorry, Sethy, could you maybe repeat that? About 45 times?!

  2. We ran Meyers out of Pittsburgh for being a chronic male sword swallower.

  3. Congress, even with Democrats in charge, is of no help (at least as things stand now) because of Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.)

Perhaps now some will understand how Republicans felt with John McCain (allegedly R-AZ) in the Senate.

  4. Pathetic attempt at humor. All this shows is that Seth Myers is an undignified, partisan hack who runs a TV show for Democrats.

  5. Love this guy’s humor but his politics need to be shoved where the sun don’t shine.
