The ‘racist’ generation? ‘1619 Project’ founder vilifies America’s WWII heroes on Chris Wallace’s new show

Chris Wallace, you may have heard, has a new program on CNN+ and it’s called, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?”

Unfortunately, now we know who’s talking to Chris Wallace. As one of the first guests on his new show, Wallace invited Nikole Hannah-Jones, a rather notorious left-wing crackpot who is the driving force behind The New York Times’ equally notorious “1619 Project,” a revisionist enterprise that is attempting to rewrite history before our very eyes.

Case in point: On Wallace’s show, Hannah-Jones solemnly announced that the “Greatest Generation,” the brave men who liberated Europe and defeated the Axis Powers in World War II, were racists who “brutally suppressed” blacks. The exchange seemed to be an uncomfortable and disturbing one for Wallace, a registered Democrat, who was perhaps somewhat insulated during his time at Fox News, and unaware of the more extreme left-wing elements and ideologies that have captured his party in recent decades.

Chris Wallace made headlines in the mainstream press for his “brave” and “courageous” decision to quit Fox News and head for the far lusher and greener pastures of…well, CNN. The former host of “Fox News Sunday” let it be known in an interview — with The New York Times, of course — that he is a man of principle and conscience, and a zealous devotee of the truth, wherefore he was no longer able to continue with his position at Fox News.

“I just no longer felt comfortable with the programming at Fox,” he said. “I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion. But when people start to question the truth—Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection?—I found that unsustainable.”

What Wallace does find sustainable is talking to people who fearlessly tell the so-called truth, rather than question it — and that apparently includes people like Nikole Hannah-Jones. During his conversation with her, he read aloud a passage from her “1619 Project” series in which she castigated the World War II generation for suppressing democracy by denying blacks the right to vote.

“Without the idealistic, strenuous and patriotic efforts of black Americans,” he read, “our democracy today would most likely look very different. It might not be a democracy at all. We like to call those who lived during World War II the Greatest Generation, but that allows us to ignore the fact that many of this generation fought for democracy abroad, while brutally suppressing democracy for millions of American citizens.”

Apparently unconvinced by this argument, Wallace asked his guest: “Again, I am in no way minimizing our terrible racial legacy. But in some of these things, aren’t you overstating?”

“If you have half of the country…cannot vote, have their vote violently suppressed, where they’re a single one-party, one-race rule in a region where about 30 percent of the population is black…would you consider that democracy?” Hannah-Jones countered.

“You’re telling me that a farm, that a kid coming off a farm in Indiana, or a kid who came from Brooklyn, was suppressing black people?” Wallace asked.

Without missing a beat, Hannah-Jones leveled sharp words at Indiana: “Indiana has the largest population of the Klan in the United States. The Klan was raised, was reached first in Indiana.”

It was an argument Wallace was unlikely ever to win, and perhaps he realized that by the end of the interview. When he observed that the young men from “ethnic neighborhoods” in Brooklyn and South Philly who landed at Normandy were not “brutally suppressing” blacks, Hannah-Jones had a simple rejoinder.

“Well, they were,” she said.

  1. What this POS needs to realize is the Greatest Generation stepping aside mean her ancestors would has been gassed and we wouldn’t be dealing with her.

  2. Nikole Hannah-Jones is a racist hack who wouldn’t recognize a fact if it slapped her upside the head. I’m guessing she’s never done a day of investigative research in her life. After all, activist opinion is much, much easier.

  3. First, Mike Wallace is a coward; he should never let the interviewee dominate the conversation with lies and innuendos..

Second, Blacks have a problem all right… and it’s their own goddamn fault and they have no one to blame but the Democrats and themselves. Sure there was racial injustice in America…. But here’s the fact that this dimwit can’t seem to grasp -Italian’s were discriminated against, so were Irish, Jews, Asians, too. But they overcame it and made contributions to the United States and the world. What human advancement has the Blacks as a race made to mankind?

Since the “war on poverty” over 21 TRILLION dollars have been spent on programs that primarily benefited Blacks. And what did we get for that money? 13% of the population committing 51% of the murders, Look at your local paper…. And tell me what race seems to be committing the crimes in your area! Highest family units without Fathers….and despite racial quotas Blacks still remain, ill educated hoodlums in the schools; no reading or writing skills, lowest math scores and worse yet, no respect for their elders, relatives, teachers, themselves or others. This year’s Black grade school menace is next’s year hoodlum.and smash and grab artist. If anyone owes any repatriation, Blacks owe the US taxpayers.

  4. How long and how much do we all have to pay for past mistakes? What is it these black activist want? There are more black millionaires, politicians, movie stars, then ever in the history of this country. These complainers live in a perpetual world of hatred, so much it is blinding them of reality, all while blacks are committing the lion share of all the crime in this country. Start by civilizing these social reprobates and maybe tensions will subside. Not trying to sound like a racist here, but just stating some facts. Look around, watch the local news in any major city and remeber what I just said.

  5. What nasty POS CRAWL BACK UNDER THAT RACISTS ROCK YOU SLITHERED OUT FROM YOU SNAKE …VILE POISONOUS SEMIAN BEAST

  6. Chris made a big splash alright. In about one foot of water from a ten foot diving board.

  7. So, Todd Jaquith admitting to watching CNN+ to see Chris Wallace? Poor guy should have gotten hazardous pay for having to watch that! At least some mind floss and eye wash…

  8. Sounds like Wallace is trying to dethrone Jerry Springer and Howard Stern for CNN’s shock jock.

  9. The shows title SHOULD BE……….”Who is listening to Chris Wallace” !
    THE ANSWER…………..NOOOBODY !

  10. First of all, Wallace didn’t even bother to call out this fake “historian” about her supposed percentage of black Americans in the 1940s. It was less than 10%, not the 30% that Hannah-Jones claims. Even today, the percentage is less than 12%.

If Chris Wallace can’t be bothered to call out his guests on lies about basic facts readily available, then he is in the right place now. He can host all the liars, imbeciles, racists and criminals the Left has to offer. He can let them lie to their hearts content.

His family must be so proud.

In other news, since the letter “f” causes us to be kicked out of our comments (several time so far for me this post), I suggest we substitute an = sign. BizPac should stop annoying its users or they will cease to have any!

    1. Wallace is a spineless mouse to be the biggest cockblower on tv .
Probably goes home puts on the wig and silkies and jerks off like turbin

  11. cw got what he wanted, a venue to spew STUPIDITY and Vile ignorant Disinformation. BUT WHOSE WATCHING and who cares

  12. The Greatest Generation may very well end up being the “Last Greatest Generation” . Im sure that the percentages of White Men who died in Europe and the Pacific who didnt make it back vastly outweighs that of BlackMen who also bravely gave their lives for Democracy and the Constitution.

    1. It does. That culture is responsible for the destruction of a whole continent, Africa, go look.

  13. Chris Wallace the pathetic biased excuse for a journalist – is right where he belongs- with crazy Anti-American racists – that blame Whites for all their own self inflicted failures and problems.

    1. For sure it was no great loss for Fox News when Wallace went to CNN. As a matter of fact I was hoping For would replace the liberal trump hater with some one who has journalism as a main point.
Until the black people who are just American like the rest of us, want families, jobs and prosperity the Democrats will play their race card and there are too many black people who have been under educated for 100 years with little or no hope of ever getting out of that stye
