Tiffany Cross spews ‘vile racism’ against Clarence Thomas, MSNBC continues ‘to do nothing’: MRC

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is suffering from a racial identity crisis.

At least that’s the considered medical opinion offered by Tiffany Cross, the host of MSNBC’s “The Cross Connection,” who suggested that the jurist is a puppet of his white wife.

The blatant racial angle prompted Media Research Center to tweet: “@TiffanyDCross continues to spew vile racism against Clarence Thomas, and @MSNBC continues to do nothing about it. This is what the Left truly thinks of minorities who dare have different opinions than them.”

On Saturday night’s episode, Cross dredged up the new “controversy” that’s gaining traction in left-wing circles, namely that Justice Thomas has got to go because he chose not to recuse himself on cases related to the “mostly peaceful” protests on January 6, as MRC reported.

Cross began by observing that Thomas was once married to a black woman—the relevance of which to the topic under discussion was never made clear.

“Something I discovered—a lot of younger viewers may not know—Clarence Thomas was actually married to a black woman, he has a son named Jamal, and now with his new wife, with Ginni Thomas, he’s always been problematic in his thoughts, he seems to have fallen deeper into the sunken place with this woman running a puppet regime it appears, being, aiding Donald Trump and breaking the law. How is it possible that Judge Thomas can continue to serve on the Supreme Court?” she wondered.

Cross never explained how Thomas has been “problematic in his thoughts,” beyond the fact that she disagrees with him. Her comments come in the wake of revelations that Thomas’ wife, Ginni Thomas, communicated with Trump’s former chief-of-staff Mark Meadows via text messaging in the aftermath of the controversial 2020 election, which has led many liberal news pundits to call for Thomas’ ouster. As Politico observes, however, Ginni Thomas was acting as a private citizen, and was neither a party to election-related litigation nor did she offer Meadows any legal advice.

Which means the entire affair is merely the latest in a string of attacks launched by the left against Justice Thomas, who seems to be an object of special hatred in those circles. Thomas, currently the only black justice serving on the Supreme Court, is certainly no stranger to such attacks and smears: his confirmation hearings were notoriously a low point in the country’s history, with current president Joe Biden especially acquitting himself in a discreditable fashion.

“One of the things you do in hearings,” Justice Thomas explained in a recent documentary, referring to his questioning by Joe Biden, “is you have to sit there and look attentively at people you know have no idea what they’re talking about.”

That’s an attitude we can all sympathize with after watching Tiffany Cross and her panel discuss Thomas and his wife. “The American problem here is Clarence Thomas,” one of the panelists, author Elie Mystal, declared.

But the personal dislike of MSNBC hosts and pundits turns out not to be reason enough to impeach a sitting Supreme Court justice, and so, for the time being, Clarence Thomas remains where he is.

  1. Tiffany Cross of the ascerbic and breathless “The Cross Connection”, must be given bonuses and perks for her mean girl, gossipy teenage brat “discussions”. I force myself occasionally, to face the truth that MSNBC is intentionally keeping and creating racial strife and resentment alive in America.

  2. Cross and the Don King Kong lookalike eunuch are both typical buckwheat ‘boons… they despise America, whites and our Constitution…

Old Abe sure fugged it all up by freeing the slaves to become a plague on this country as violent, dishonest, whiny, lying parasites.

  3. What Ms. Cross lacks in intelligence, she clearly makes up for, with her vicious, and, vacuous, stupidity.

  4. Who gives any kind of credence to Tiffany Cross, anyway? Her screeds are based on whatever has fired her up on any given day. If it isn’t controversial, Cross will make it controversial. I don’t watch MSNBC, or even follow it online.
