Trump pokes fun at Psaki exiting WH for MSNBC: ‘They don’t have a redhead over there’

Former President Donald Trump took a moment during his “Save America” rally Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan to poke fun at the lengths the left will go to in the name of diversity with MSNBC’s reported hiring of White House press secretary Jen Psaki because, “they don’t have a redhead over there.”

In a speech meant to garner support for endorsed candidates leading into the April 23 primary in the Great Lakes State, Trump touched on law and order, damages caused by “woke” policies and, in particular, his efforts to revitalize the military. He touched on the derision he received over the creation of a new branch to the U.S. Armed Forces, something that hadn’t been done in decades.

“You had a president who not only completely rebuilt our military, including the addition of Space Force, you remember they smiled. Remember that?” Trump asked the rally goers. “Something which has not happened since the Air Force 75 years ago. Space Force, it’s going to be very important having it. You know, if you look at China and Russia, they had a big lead and now we’re leading because we did that.”

“That was so important, but they laughed and you remember [President Joe] Biden laughed…the woman with the really beautiful red hair,” the president stated. “She laughed and she was hit so hard by the military because they knew I was right, the military understood I was right.”

“You know she’s going to MSDNC, you know that, right?” Trump asked, using his preferred acronym for the MSNBC to reference their deep ties to the Democratic National Committee. “They need a redhead! They don’t have a redhead over there, so they need a redhead. But you also had a president who always put our country first. It was America first always.”

The audience roared in support of the sentiment and began to chant “USA!” as the rally continued.

Trump’s allusion to the partisan nature of corporate media directly relates to the current ethical concerns surrounding reports that Psaki had been negotiating for a spot with a media outlet while continuing her public service role funded by taxpayers.

As reported, Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich had confirmed MSNBC won a bidding war against CNN to contract the press secretary who had also previously worked for the state department.

“Well, I have always gone over and above the stringent ethical and legal requirements of the Biden administration and I take that very seriously,” Psaki explained when directly asked about the process.

“As a standard for every employee at the White House, I have received rigorous ethics counseling as it relates to any future employment. I’ve complied with all ethics requirements and gone beyond and taken steps to reduce myself from decisions as appropriate,” she continued.

Of course, any claims by the White House to abide by “stringent ethical and legal requirements” are laughable as influential financiers have repeatedly been demonstrated to hold sway within the offices of the executive. That stands without even bringing up concerns over Hunter Biden’s laptop.
