Home Depot hammered for shaming employees about their ‘white privilege.’ This posted in breakrooms …

Home improvement colossus Home Depot is being hammered after images surfaced of documents that were posted at one of the retail chain’s Canadian locations shaming employees in the form of a flyer and checklist about “white privilege” that was posted in the lunchroom.

The document was entitled “Leading Practices – Unpacking privilege,” which it described in general terms as a “special benefit or advantage that may be earned or unearned” and that “person may or may not be aware that they are benefitting from privilege.”

There is then a breakdown of two types of the “woke” designation that doesn’t actually exist including Social Privilege which it says is “unearned advantage or entitlement, used to one’s benefit or to the detriment of others,” with a list of group identity of the “advantaged” including social class, age, disability, ethnic or racial category, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion.”

Next up is a definition of the mythical “White Privilege” a pejorative that is constantly utilized to cloak the left’s constant attacks on white people in the guise of social justice, equity and diversity along with a set of boxes urging Home Depot employees to “check your privilege.”

The offensive document was first posted to Twitter by a user who claimed that he got it from a friend who works at the Home Depot and it has since gone viral, angering many over the in-your-face guilt-tripping of employees who are not members of the groups that rank the highest on the left’s pyramid of victimhood.

The document gives some examples of “what privilege looks like” with a picture of a badge and the explanation “If you’re confident that the police exist to protect you, you have white privilege,” this despite the explosion of crime in both the U.S. and Canada.

Also listed is an expressed hostility toward Christians with an image of a calendar with a cross and the number 25 which obviously signifies Christmas, reading,”if you can expect time off from work to celebrate your religious holidays, you have Christian privilege.”

There is also “cisgender privilege” which clearly is a message to promote transgenderism and biological males invading women’s restrooms.

On a second page is a cute cartoon followed by bullet pointed items on “why it’s uncomfortable to talk about white privilege” including that “the word ‘white’ creates discomfort especially when individuals are not used to being defined or described by their race,” kind of a no brainer for people who were accustomed to living in a colorless society before being dragged back to the bad old days of segregation by leftist ideologues.

There are also tips about “starting the conversation” with friends, family or coworkers.

The document was predictably met with outrage including from the Fraternal Order of Police which states that it is “the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 356,000 members,” calling out Home Depot on Twitter.

“There are millions of people, in communities across the country, who know that law enforcement exists to protect ALL of us. We’d be happy to have a conversation w/@HomeDepot executives & educate them on what officers do everyday in communities made up of people of all colors,” the organization wrote along with an image of the first page of the extremely offensive flyer.

Other Twitter users opined on the offensive “woke” propaganda.

According to trusty “fact checker” Snopes, the document isn’t fake: “Home Depot spokesperson confirmed this is real — it comes from the company’s ‘Canadian division’ — though the rep said it is not part of required companywide training, nor was it ‘created or approved’ by the corporation’s DEI department.”

The Atlanta-based big box chain is the largest home improvement retailer in the United States and has stores in all of Canada’s 10 provinces.
