Gutfeld on White House use of TikTok stars: ‘This is what happens when there are no adults in the room’

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld lamented the absence of “adults in the room” Tuesday as President Joe Biden’s administration prioritizes coordinated finger-pointing with TikTok celebrities over decisive action against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

“Gutfeld!” opened with a simple question from the host: “As war rages on, what are the other world leaders doing in response?” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s meeting with oil and gas industries to devise a solution on energy policy was juxtaposed with Biden’s team inviting social media influencers to learn talking points to distribute among America’s susceptible youth.

Gutfeld called the move “not surprising” from “a White House where the only adult thing are the diapers” before musing what’s next, “Hit up the half-naked soccer moms on OnlyFans for immigration tips?”

He went on to highlight that this is the emotional level the left is succumbing to.

“Rather than try to figure out a way to stop the next world war, they fret about rising gas prices ruining their political chances. Because with libs, it only comes down to holding power. But this is also what happens when there are no adults in the room,” he said.

Offering that “serious people took serious things seriously,” Gutfeld reminded that JFK never sought aid from the Mickey Mouse Club during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then brought up the recent suggestion that merely questioning the war made one a traitor now in the eyes of the left and that people like Tucker Carlson and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) should be investigated by the Department of Justice.

Calling it “modern McCarthyism” he ran through a list of prominent public figures pushing the same notion. Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said Carlson was “close to treason” and fulfilling “Putin’s dream.”

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) tweeted that Gabbard’s statement on biolabs in Ukraine was spreading “treasonous lies,” which brought the host to conclude, “so questioning military intervention is treasonous, even if you’re a combat veteran like Tulsi. Disagree with her or not, you got to admit, she has more balls than a bucket of Titleists.”

“Meanwhile, the president mulls whether he should fly to Europe after sending the town cackler in,” Gutfeld said referring to Vice President Kamala Harris. “He’s probably worrying about those tricky stairs that he has to navigate to get up on Air Force One.”

“It appears now he may be going to Europe next week, next week,” he repeated incredulously. “Great. What’s the hurry? It’s only women and children being slaughtered. Why not go tomorrow or today? What’s the delay?”

The left’s self-interest, as opposed to leadership, was further questioned by the obvious change of position from previous wars. “It’s weird. People are called traitors for mulling about not entering a war, yet others can casually mull over sending your kids to a foreign war, and yet they’re patriotic,” Gutfeld pointed out.

Pointing to Vietnam protests and the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Gutfeld pressed, “did we really run out of Afghanistan so we could run headfirst into war in Europe?”

The unifying message, he concluded, should be ending the conflict as quickly as possible. That requires actual diplomacy, “not mulling it over, not sending Kamala, not indulging TikTok, which is owned by China.”

“But we live in a time where it seems war is preferable to mediation, and if you don’t go with the flow,” Gutfeld assessed, “you might be called a traitor.”
