Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau may have some explaining to do after an alleged hit-and-run motorist struck several peaceful protestors in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday night.
Trudeau, the leader of the Liberal Party, had previously branded the massive number of anti-COVID mandates grassroots Freedom Convoy protestors (most of whom have descended upon the capital city of Ottawa in Ontario) and by extension those who support them, a “fringe minority.”
Among other things, the far-left Trudeau (who is still hunkered down in an undisclosed location) also accused them, without evidence, of engaging in “hateful rhetoric” and “violence.”
Although the facts in the Winnipeg incident are still unfolding, and the motivation of the suspect has yet to be determined, Trudeau’s comments, however, may perhaps be yet another example of projection by the left in leveling unfounded accusations against its adversaries.

Just in time for Groundhog Day, a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation anchor even floated a conspiracy theory that Russia might have instigated the Freedom Convoy. Sound familiar?
Rebel News publisher Ezra Levant asserted that “So we have our first incident of violence at at trucker protest. And it’s an attack against the protesters.
“Did Justin Trudeau’s extremist rhetoric radicalize that terrorist? What responsibility does Trudeau’s CBC have, for claiming that the protests were organized by Putin?”

Tobias Tissen, a Canadian pastor in Manitoba, posted the footage which he described as follows:
“At the end of the day yesterday in Winnipeg. A provocateur deliberately ran over a protester with his SUV and injured 3 others. He’s been apprehended. All Day long the crowd of protesters were peaceful, lots of smiles, hugs and laughter. Let’s pray for the injured and the driver.”
Rob Carver, the Winnipeg Police public information officer, said that the male operator of the jeep faces numerous charges such as assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm, and failing to stop at the scene of the accident.
Parenthetically, conservative influencer Jack Posobiec has wondered on social media why attempted murder is not one of the charges.
Carver noted that four adult males were struck (one of whom was transported to the hospital and later released) but fortunately were not seriously harmed.
The constable also claimed the driver fled the scene, blowing through several red lights, but was subsequently taken into custody in a traffic stop “after a brief struggle.”

“Carver went on to say protest organizers and participants had been ‘incredibly cooperative,’ and there were no other issues to speak of besides the hit-and-run,” GlobalNews.ca reported.
A statement from protest organizers read, in part, that “We call on our elected officials at all levels of government to denounce this purposeful act of violence on peaceful protestors who were obeying the law and call on them to engage in conversation and action to begin to heal the division in our country.”
The group also vowed to continue to work closely with police in the ongoing protest.
The pastor also posted a purported dramatic photo of the potentially deadly encounter, which prompted Levant to claim that “there is a direct line from Trudeau’s demonization and incident of hatred to this criminal act.” Others also weighed in:
A Trudeau extremist rammed into the trucker protest in Manitoba. (Of course he's wearing a mask.)
No-one was killed. But there is a direct line from Trudeau's demonization and incitement of hatred, to this criminal act.
Trudeau is radicalizing his base — including the media. https://t.co/Yljp3biV9B

Just days before people were run over at the #FreedomConvoy in Winnipeg, Canada, journalist Brian Walton wrote, "If you see Nazis on the side of the road, do the responsible thing and run them over." https://t.co/z1LSvII1Gr pic.twitter.com/nxbmFZ4PtJ

VILE: A freedom protester was mowed down by an SUV late last night. Suspect has been arrested. Trudeau vilified these peaceful protests, and now this happens. Shocking. pic.twitter.com/G08LWmExV6

I don't know what happened here but hey mainstream media in Winnipeg, this is an opportunity for you to find out what happened and inform us. https://t.co/TUwqYtgaN6

The Winnipeg police called it a motor vehicle accident. The driver ran down 4 adults. If a trucker had done this it would have been all over the media spun as an act of terrorism. The media & politicians were more outraged for people draping a Canadian flag over a statue.

I predict Justin Trudeau will step down next week.
The freedom movement is growing much bigger and more popular with every day.
This is the worst political moment in Canadian history and Trudeau will be remembered as a coward and villain and on the wrong side of history
