Leftists are fuming after their latest false narrative about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was blown to smithereens when it was revealed what he was really doing during the time that he was “inexplicably missing” as a spike in positive COVID tests fueled negative media coverage about the Sunshine State being a hotbed of disease.
With conspiracy theories swirling that DeSantis may himself be infected and AOC seeking to deflect from the embarrassment of being caught unmasked and boozing in Miami Beach at a time when New York City was experiencing an Omicron explosion, the left’s bubble was burst after the news broke that he had been with his wife Casey as she underwent treatment for breast cancer.
With yet another one of their big lies spoiled, DeSantis haters took to Twitter to rage over the rug being yanked out from under them and to rail against a man who they have been unable to touch despite numerous orchestrated smear campaigns and one very flustered blue-check was dismissive of the idea that he would dare to devote time to family matters, demanding his resignation in a tweet that backfired in an epic manner.
Lesley Abravanel who identifies herself as a “NY-grown, FL-tanned, scribe, word nerd” and “Bloody Mary maven” in her Twitter bio wrote, “Spin, spin spin. While I feel for his wife, cancer treatments take a few hours. He is the governor of a state in crisis. If he can’t govern and be there for his wife he should resign.”

Abravanel’s tasteless outpouring of frustration brought a predictable Twitter pummeling, beginning with Gov. DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw, who called on the Miami Herald to “come get your girl” — Abravanel is a gossip/nightlife columnist for the newspaper, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Abravanel has an ax to grind with the governor, joining up with other COVID political zealots to file a lawsuit over the forced masking in Florida schools which they “won” only to see the “DeathSantis regime” pass a law protecting the rights of parents to make personal health decisions on behalf their children, something she raged about from her blue-check Twitter account.
With the help of @GallagherLaw, we sued Gov. and “Education Secretary” and won. Mandates were ok. Then the ghoulish administration passed a law making their recklessness legal. Mask and vax mandates are common sense, to which the DeathSantis regime is allergic. Sigh.

Many have similarly vented after their “missing” governor scam was torpedoed and sadly, taking cheap shots at his cancer-stricken wife is somehow acceptable to the left whose lack of compassion is only exceeded by their lust for political power.
