NASCAR driver Brandon Brown has turned a corner and decided to completely and outwardly embrace the political slogan inadvertently inspired by his namesake, “Let’s go, Brandon” after previously trying to distance himself from the phrase.

The 28-year-old racecar driver unveiled a new racecar that uses the popular acronym for the phrase, “LGB,” as part of a cryptocurrency promotion for LGBCoin which promotes itself on Twitter as a “meme coin inspiring patriotism.”

Although a Republican, Brown previously cited that he had “zero desire” to get involved with politics as he tried to disassociate himself with the popular anti-Biden slogan and focus on his career as he was concerned he would be canceled by his sponsors if he didn’t stay quiet about the interview that fueled the use of the term.

“Our whole navigation is, you want to appeal to everybody, because, all in all, everybody is a consumer,” Brown said. “I have zero desire to be involved in politics.”

The term originated on October 2 when an NBC Sports reporter appeared to misunderstand the “F— Joe Biden” chant the crowd was clearly yelling from the stands as she interviewed Xfinity Series race winner Brown after a NASCAR event at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway, misinterpreting it as “Let’s go, Brandon.” The chant has since become a political catchphrase and euphemism for the disgust many American’s are feeling towards President Joe Biden and the mainstream media as they watch the 46th President of the United States’ policies fuel inflation and division.

The new Chevrolet Camaro emblazoned with the cryptocurrency logo will make its racing debut on February 19, 2022, during the NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway and was previewed in a video released to the sponsor’s Twitter account on Thursday.

“Having the financial support of LGBcoin is incredible, especially at such a pivotal time in our team’s growth as we work to build to the next level of competition,” said Brown in a press release about the partnership. “From wondering if we would have the financial means to continue to compete, to my first major win (at Talladega no less), to becoming an unintentional meme, this past season was a rollercoaster. The support of sponsors like LGBcoin empowers us to be as competitive as possible and I’m looking forward to competing hard on the track in 2022.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Brandonbilt Motorsports and Brandon Brown for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season,” said James Koutoulas, LGBcoin HODLer and founder of Typhoon Capital Management. “Brandon is not only an incredibly talented driver, but also a thoughtful individual wise beyond his years. His commitment and singular focus on his profession is inspiring and his personal story is one that we can all be proud of—an American story of success and perseverance. Brandon is truly America’s Driver.”

“We are proud to support Brandon this season, to help him continue his American dream,” Koutoulas added. “If we do our job right, when you think of us, and you hear, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ you’ll think and feel, ‘Let’s Go America.’”

Reactions to the new partnership with the politically driven meme coin were mixed with some people alleging that this would be the end to their NASCAR days and others cheering Brandon on for embracing the accidental connection to politics.
