Un-vaxxed Marines allege ‘political purge,’ say they are being ‘crushed’ for rejecting Biden mandate

A “political purge” is allegedly underway in the U.S. military as the “best and brightest” are being ousted over their refusal to get the coronavirus vaccine.

Those are the exact words used by several U.S. Marines who spoke anonymously with Fox News this week about the crisis they see unfolding in the military.

“There’s something fundamentally wrong at this point with our nation’s leadership. We are facing an unconstitutional edict that I think is very targeted as a political purge, taking out some of the best and brightest soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and guardians from the Space Force,” one of the Marines said.

This Marine was identified by Fox News as a major with 17 years of active service.

News of this alleged “purge” comes only days after three former U.S. military generals penned a stunning op-ed for The Washington Post calling for the military to be purged of those accused of wrongthink.

Another Marine, this one a lieutenant colonel with over 19 years of active service, said the military branch is purposefully discharging unvaccinated service members “as fast as they can and as brutally as they can, damaging every Marine as much as they can on the way out.”

“The one message I got from the colonel above me was: ‘Tread very carefully, this is political, you will be crushed like an ant.’ And he told me that because he cares about me. Do I want to continue serving in an institution that crushes people for bringing up reasonable points in defending their faith?” the Marine said.

By faith, the Marine meant religion. According to Fox News, though the U.S. Marines are technically allowed to apply for a religious exemption from the coronavirus vaccine, “so far not a single application regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, or any vaccine for that matter, has been approved.”

Fox News had the chance to review eight rejection letters. They all cited the exact same reason, supposed “military readiness,” for why the unvaccinated Marines had to be discharged.

Keep in mind this is the same military branch that, according to Commandant Gen. David Berger, is focused on socially re-engineering the Marines to “reflect America” gender-wise and race-wise, as if that has anything to do with readiness.

Another Marine, this one a master sergeant, reported witnessing a sergeant submit a 30-page justification for why his religious faith is sincere, only to be rejected.

“I saw one package from a sergeant who had attached, like, 30 pages of material to substantiate why his belief was sincere, under no lawful obligation to do so. And then to have this as a response with no individual inquiry and just a generalized assertion of governmental interest is insulting,” the unnamed master sergeant said.

The sergeant added that the more the Marines dissent, “the tighter the screws are” that are applied against them.

“When you’re expected to behave a certain way and to obey certain rules and follow certain processes, and then to see on the other end that that’s not a two-way street, that’s a violation of my morals that I can’t stand by and not speak out about,” according to the master sergeant.

“On the religious side, this is absolutely a travesty what’s happening,” one chief warrant officer told Fox News.

“People are getting blanket denials, they’re not addressing the individual concerns or beliefs of Marines who are submitting for religious accommodations, and I think that’s just horribly wrong. I honestly believe that they’re not really reading the packages,” the officer added.

What makes this dilemma particularly challenging, according to one Marine identified as a female lieutenant colonel, is that because of military rules, they’re not allowed to speak out, meaning they must suffer silently.

“I’ve talked to so many different service members. Just recently, one of the corporals in the group was absolutely distraught because one of his friends who also declined the shot recently just killed himself,” she said.

“This is an absolute travesty. And I’m telling you, I am so upset about this. My heart is breaking for these people,” she added, reportedly choking back tears.

As of Wednesday, Dec. 29th, only 169 Marines had been discharged for not getting vaccinated. However, thousands more were reportedly on track to be discharged as well any day now.

The only possible good news is that the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act that President Joe Biden signed into law Wednesday contains a Republican-crafted provision that “requires service members discharged for vaccine refusal to receive either an honorable or general discharge,” according to Fox News.

This means that going forward, those Marines who are targeted can’t be dishonorably discharged for not being vaccinated.

The problem, according to the lieutenant colonel who spoke with Fox News, is that while still honorable, a “general discharge” nevertheless voids the G.I. bill education benefits that military members and their dependents are usually entitled to …
