Democrat Senate candidate Cal Cunningham is concealing his liberal ideology from North Carolina voters using double talk to get elected as implied in a video just released by the crew at Project Veritas Action. If the candidate manages to get to D.C., however, the alleged stealth progressive will comply with most of the party’s far-left agenda regardless of what he presents on the campaign trail.

In the footage which consists of a series of brief clips, a man who purports to be an official of the Brunswick County, N.C., Democrat Party says “there’s nothing worse, crazier in North Carolina politics than to be a left-wing liberal. That’s the kiss of death here for a politician. And so when Cal gets to Washington, we’re going to be able to lean in on Cal. He’s going to vote ‘right’ [i.e., left] on 90 percent of the things we think are important. He just can’t say all of that now.”

Cunningham is running against GOP incumbent Thom Tillis, in what is now a close contest, in a state where the U.S. Supreme Court, in a win for the Democrat-controlled state board of elections, is allowing ballots to be counted up to nine days after the election if they are postmarked by November 3.

Another man identified as an ex-Democrat official in North Carolina is heard on the video remarking that “I think Cal Cunningham, like any southern Democrat, is more liberal than he can say. So for Cal Cunningham to win in North Carolina, he still has to be able to win some rural voters. So he still has to say some things that they want to hear.”

The man adds that the Green New Deal constitutes political suicide in the state, “but he will vote for Joe Biden’s environmental policies.”

The first man who appears in what is presumably a hidden camera video, which is the Project Veritas standard investigatory technique, asserts that “in the south, we have to learn to mask our progressive ideas in other things…don’t talk about getting rid of fossil fuels, but if you could talk about how to save us some money on our electricity, we’ll talk to you about that. So it’s not lying; it’s simply re-wording the truth, so the truth becomes more palatable to people who are not bright enough to understand the real truth.”

Perhaps the Democrats are channeling the George Constanza character from the Seinfeld sitcom, who famously once said, “it’s not a lie if you believe it.”

A woman standing on her porch who is labeled on the video as the daughter of the Democrat state party chair alludes to the scandal that Cunningham is currently engulfed in and explains that Cunningham is more progressive than he lets on “but he can’t actively say it,” and his good-old-boy image is just “shtick” (i.e., performance art).

Watch the video embedded below and form your own conclusions:

Running on a campaign that generally emphasized integrity, service, and other bromides, Cunningham is or was initially seen as a top-tier recruit for the Democrats. In addition to apparently pretending to be more moderate than he actually is, Cunningham has been stonewalling allegations that he has become involved in ore more extramarital affairs.

This Halloween masquerade party by the Democrats is also apparently being played out elsewhere across the country.

For example, Democrat Mark Kelly who is challenging GOP U.S. Senator and retired Air Force fighter pilot Martha McSally in Arizona, allegedly is papering over his gun control agenda, according to someone affiliated with an outside group supporting the astronaut’s campaign in another Project Veritas undercover video.

In a continuation of this theme, Georgia U.S. Senate hopeful Jon Ossoff is allegedly also positioning himself as a moderate Democrat.
