Camp David to host Ivanka and Jared’s anniversary party; Mad libs conveniently forget Obama did it too

Members of the blue checkmark Twitterati “Resistance” threw a collective fit Friday when reports emerged that President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka intended to celebrate her 10-year wedding anniversary over the weekend at Camp David.

“Presidential advisers Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner plan to fete their 10-year wedding anniversary at Camp David this weekend with a small group of family and friends, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the event,” Vice magazine breathlessly reported Friday afternoon. “President Trump is also expected to attend.”

Within seconds of the report being published, members of the Twitterati, including some so-called “journalists,” began spewing pure, unadulterated outrage.

“How dare they!” the elitists shrieked

Facts matter, and as usual, members of the “Resistance” were so absorbed in their seething hatred of the president and his children that the facts flew right over their heads.

For one, Ivanka and her husband, senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, reportedly planned to pay for the expenses out of their own pockets.

“[E]xpenses at Camp David are covered by the family. Jared and Ivanka will be paying out of pocket,” a White House official confirmed to CNN.

Second, whenever America’s last three presidents hosted events at Camp David, they allegedly forced the American people to pay for them:

And third, when former President Barack Hussein Obama frequently used Camp David for his personal adventures and exploits, the blue checkmark Twitterati said little.

Consider for instance how they responded when Obama let his daughter Malia host a slumber party at the historic site in 2009:

There was no outrage and no complaints. Now fast-forward to 2013, when Obama celebrated his birthday at the historic site by golfing with his buddies and reportedly partying.

“It was a quiet birthday for President Obama, who celebrated his 52nd on Sunday at Camp David,” The Washington Post casually reported at the time. “The White House was mum about festivities at the presidential retreat, but there was a seven-hour golf party Saturday at Andrews Air Force base, according to the pool report.”

“Obama and 11 close friends — including Marty Nesbit, Marvin Nicholson, Reggie Love and Sam Kass — spent the day competing for bragging rights. The winning foursome (Love, Kass, Wahid Hamid and Laurent Delanney) flew to Camp David with the president in Marine One; losers traveled there by van.”

There were no complaints about the event and no concerns about the price tag. Everything was hunky-dory because it was Barack Hussein Obama, after all, and Barack Hussein Obama is a flawless specimen or something of the sort.

The clear-cut differences between how Obama’s Camp David exploits were treated and how the Trump family’s exploits are being treated are not sitting well with those who value consistency and rationality:
