Lou Dobbs: Spineless Lindsey Graham is an embarrassment, hasn’t lifted a finger to help Trump

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs blasted Republican Senator Lindsey Graham for not doing anything to defend President Trump amid the Democrats’ secret, one-sided impeachment inquiry, which Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton called a “coup.”

“Nothing is happening in the U.S. Senate! Nothing!” Dobbs said. “For nine months, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee [Lindsey Graham] has not lifted a finger to help this president.”

Dobbs continued: He blathers little sound bites for or against the president every week but has done nothing for the American people or truth, justice, and the American way. He is an embarrassment to the government of this country and its traditions.”

Tom Fitton agreed, saying Republicans must grow a spine and demand transparency from the Democrat-led House of Representatives.

“This is why the Senate needs to take leadership,” Fitton said. “I know they don’t want to. But this is where voters need to step in and let their senators know what they expect — that they won’t participate in the coup.”

Fitton urged the few honest lawmakers on Capitol Hill to “shut down this coup and say we are not going to take on an impeachment.”

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon has sounded the alarm, saying Trump’s team must do more to defend him against the left’s nonstop attempts to impeach him without cause.

As BizPac Review reported, Bannon predicts that Trump will be impeached in “the next six weeks” by the Democrat-led House of Representatives (or roughly December 1, 2019).

Nancy Pelosi has refused to take a vote on impeachment because it would give the minority Republicans in the House the right to subpoena witnesses (including Hunter Biden).

The Democrats’ current impeachment inquiry violates Trump’s due-process rights since he doesn’t have the right to cross-examine witnesses, call witnesses, receive transcripts of testimony, or have access to evidence.

This is not the first time that Lou Dobbs has blasted spineless RINOs for not doing more to defend the leader of their party.

In February 2019, Dobbs torched Republicans as “gutless wonders” who refuse to do anything to protect the leader of their party — and more importantly — a duly-elected sitting United States president.

“Why is the establishment in Washington D.C. not screaming for the arrest of Andrew McCabe and all of his cohorts in the DOJ and FBI?” Dobbs asked.

“Why the hell wasn’t the Republican Party standing up and demanding his arrest? They either follow President Trump or they are going to be on the scrapheap of history.”

In March, President Trump said the wimpiness of former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan is why the Democrats (who now control the House of Representatives) feel so emboldened to attack him nonstop.

Trump said House Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows and caucus co-founder Jim Jordan wanted to aggressively investigate unethical, crooked Democrats.

But Paul Ryan — who was Speaker of the House from 2015 to January 2019 — blocked their moves to subpoena Democrats who should have been investigated.

“Paul Ryan wouldn’t give the right to have any subpoenas. Meadows and Jordan and all these guys — they wanted to go tougher — but they weren’t allowed to by leadership.

It’s so terrible what’s happening. The Left plays a tougher game. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher.

But the left plays it ‘cuter’ and tougher. Like with all the nonsense that they do in Congress…with all this invest[igations]. They do things that are nasty. Republicans never played this.”
