A CNN panel went off the rails when a guest decided to drop some uncomfortable common sense about immigration and birthright citizenship.
“We already know that people are using it for social welfare services. So why would we want more of that? Why would we want more?” New York Post Correspondent Lydia Moynihan asked.
CNN anchor Abby Phillips questioned Moynihan’s numbers.
“You’re saying 1.5 million people of Chinese heritage are coming to utilize our social services?” she quipped.
The women talked over each other as Phillips repeatedly interrupted and pooh-poohed America’s problem of birth tourism as an issue not worth much scrutiny.
“We already know that this is something that our foreign adversaries are using to exploit us…, Moynihan continued. “We already know that people are using it for social welfare services. So why would we want more of that? Those children can vote.”
“Do you really want people whose parents are CCP citizens, who grow up in China, to come here and vote because that is what birth tourism and birthright citizenship allow.”

X users fumed over Phillips’ tactic to talk over her guest:
Guests should refuse to go on with this host. She’s so incompetent that she rudely talks over them for fear that her stupidity will be exposed.

Meanwhile, Moynihan doubled down on her stance by highlighting another CNN clip. “Foreign adversaries exploiting birthright citizenship isn’t a ‘red herring,’” she warned.
