According to CNN “journalist” Jake Tapper, the most pro-Israel president in American history is a run-of-the-mill antisemite no different than Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
#ThisIsCNN …
Tapper shared this ridiculous belief of his during a comedic segment he aired Wednesday night. The segment consisted of him asking his control room to air tweets and clips of Omar’s antisemitism. Except the “rogue” control room kept airing tweets and clips from President Donald Trump instead.
He pulled this stunt in response to the president condemning Omar for her recent spate of antisemitic remarks and demanding that she resign from Congress.
Watch the chicanery below:
The first clip depicted the president making quips about Jewish people to the Republican Jewish Coalition, much to their loud fanfare and laughter.
Tapper’s thesis appears to be that these quips are equivalent to Omar’s lifelong habit of accusing the Jewish people of hypnotizing the world and suggesting they use money to manipulate U.S. politicians:
Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel

The second clip showed a since-deleted tweet by the president that depicted then-Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, a pile of cash, a six-point Star of David and the phrase “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!”
Note that unlike Omar’s antisemitic tweets, this tweet was eventually deleted and replaced by another after it dawned on Trump that his original tweet had an antisemitic connotation:

The third clip showed the president rightly noting that not everybody who attended the Unite the Right rally where a woman was killed back in the summer of 2017 was a Nazi.
Even The New York Times eventually admitted that some people had attended the event simply to stand up against the PC-culture-driven removal of historical statues.
“Good people can go to Charlottesville,” The Times quoted Michelle Piercy, a night shift worker from Kansas, as saying at the time.
Frustrated by the planned removal of a Confederate statue in Charlottesville, she traveled to the city in August of 2017 to attend a rally that later drew widespread condemnation after a white supremacist participant rammed his vehicle into a crowd of protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer.
In her statement to the Times, she added how appreciative she was of Trump standing up for her.
“After listening to Mr. Trump on Tuesday, she said it was as if he had channeled her and her friends — all gun-loving defenders of free speech, she said, who had no interest in standing with Nazis or white supremacists,” the Times reported.
“It’s almost like he talked to one of our people,” she herself said.
Dovetailing back to Tapper’s false equivalency, it’s as if he’s completely unaware that to many Jewish people, Trump is considered to be the most pro-Israel president in American history.
Why? Because for one, he had the guts to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and then relocate the U.S. Embassy to the ancient city.

He’s likewise been unequivocal in his support of the Israelis over the terror-affiliated Palestinians.
But none of this seemed to occur to Tapper. It’s as if “cares more about protecting Dems than the truth,” as noted by former White House deputy assistance Sebastian Gorka and others on social media:
.@jaketapper showed his true (Democrat) colors today.
His shameful whataboutism regarding @IlhanMN’s Anti-Semitism is grotesque & embarrassing.
Israel has never had a greater friend than @realDonaldTrump & Jake knows that, but he cares more about protecting Dems than the truth. pic.twitter.com/2Zd9dzUeOG

In a truly disgusting and vile segment on @CNN today, @jaketapper tried to explain away @IlhanMN‘s grotesque anti-Semitism through a comedy bit that ultimately fell far short of what is acceptable.
I wonder if @CNNPR will condemn this type of behavior. Let’s not hold our breath.

I thought Fake Jake’s homophobic comments on air re Roger Stone were bad, but deflecting to cover up flagrant antisemitism from Rep Omar is a new low. Cover for the left at all costs… Typical CNN. https://t.co/iYDx0vwAO3

Protecting the most repulsive people in the Democrat party is one of @jaketapper‘s specialties.

1. Anti – Semitism is NOT funny. 2. @realDonaldTrump has been a better friend to Israel and the Jewish people than any president in recent history (see – moving the US embassy to Jerusalem), 3. This bit by @CNN minimizes the actual terrible anti – Semitism of @Ilhan, @RepRashida https://t.co/AlI43APNzW

Nor did Tapper show any awareness for the fact that Omar has a long, sordid history of anti-Semitism and continues to indulge in it to this day.
According to the Washington Examiner, later this month she’s scheduled to speak at an event hosted by Islamic Relief USA, a terror-affiliated nonprofit. She’ll reportedly be joined at the event by IRUSA official Yousef Abdallah, an antisemite who on social media has celebrated the murder of Jews.
“For example, Abdallah praised as ‘beautiful’ a story lauding a ‘resistance hero’ whose work helped ‘kill more than 20 Jews’ and ‘fire[d] rockets at Tel Aviv,'” the Examiner notes.
None of this was pointed out by the CNN “journalist,” of course. Instead he concluded his attack by criticizing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy for a tweet he posted last year.
Right before the midterms he warned that that billionaires such as George Soros, Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg — all of whom are Jewish — shouldn’t be permitted to buy the election.
Though McCarthy has made it clear numerous times that the tweet had nothing to do with the billionaires’ faith, he deleted the tweet anyway to appease those who took offense.
As a reminder, Omar’s tweets still remain on Twitter …
