After Trump slurs ‘United States’ in Jerusalem speech, White House reveals he will undergo physical exam

President Donald Trump will undergo a physical exam next year and he will make the results public as presidents have done in the past.

The president will be examined in “the first part of next year” by a doctor at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“Those records will be released following that taking place,” she said.

Sanders made the statement on Thursday, one day after many in the media questioned the president’s health after he appeared to slur some words in his speech announcing that the United States would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Sanders called speculation that something was awry with the president’s health “ridiculous” and said that “the President’s throat was dry, nothing more than that.”

But theories were rampant on social media that the president had suffered some type of mini stroke or other medical episode after it sounded like he ended his speech on Wednesday with “and God bless the United Shtesh.”

It is important to note that the exam and sharing its findings with the American people is not new.

Former President George W. Bush released his first medical records as president on August 4, 2001 and former President Obama released his records for the first time on February 28, 2010.
