Men all over the world collectively sighed with disappointment this weekend.
Major League Baseball pitcher, and Houston Astros ace, Justin Verlander officially took sexy Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton off the proverbial market.
The pair tied the knot in Italy on Saturday, days after Verlander’s team won the world Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Verlander was dapper in a black suit with bow tie, and Upton stunned in a long sleeve, white dress by Valentino with a long veil that reached the floor.
Upton had told “Entertainment Tonight” that planning the wedding was “really stressful” in an interview before the pair exchanged vows in Tuscany.

“Ultimately, you think whenever you’re getting married that your wedding is just going to be this magical moment and people just show up,” she said.
“Later you realize, ‘Oh, I have to pick out everything and I’m planning this,’ and that’s the sucky part,” she added.

Upton said the pair got engaged right before the baseball season started.

“He asked me right before the [baseball] season started, so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while, so I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world,” she said.
Verlander missed the Astros championship parade because of the wedding.
Odds are pretty good, he’s not too upset about it.
