Vegan biz owner closes shop, goes into hiding after celebrating death of 59 ‘meat eaters’ in Vegas

A vegan food truck owner has had to close her business after mocking the deaths of 59 people in Las Vegas because, she assumed, they are all meat eaters.

Delinda Jensen, owner of “Mother Nature Vegan Cuisine” in Wilkes-Barre responded to the massacre of people in Las Vegas on Sunday in a Facebook post that said “Yes I am jaded. Fifty nine meat eaters dead. How many animals will live because of this?”

In a subsequent post she said “I don’t give a f**k about carnists anymore.”

Since those writings Jensen has apologized for, what she called, “a moment of stupidity,” in an interview with the Times Leader

“Was it poorly written? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Yes. I am so sorry I wrote that,” Jensen, a former adjunct professor who became a vegan two years ago, said Thursday. “Meat eaters or not, no one deserves to die like that. I wasn’t celebrating the death of those people.”

She said she was attempting to point out that animals are tortured and killed for their meat.

Jensen said she has received death threats and had to call the police for people driving by her home and shouting obscenities.

She has since deactivated her Facebook, hidden her truck and installed a security camera at her residence.
