‘Proactive & nasty’: President Trump takes a shot at Obama and Scotland Yard after London train attack

President Donald Trump responded to an apparent terror attack in London on Friday by suggesting that his controversial travel ban ought to be extended.

“The travel ban into the United States should be far larger, tougher and more specific-but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!” he wrote on Twitter.

And he took a shot at his predecessor for his perceived lack of progress on thwarting terrorism.

“We have made more progress in the last nine months against ISIS than the Obama Administration has made in 8 years.Must be proactive & nasty!” he tweeted.

That followed other tweets the president made on the attacks where he called the terrorists losers.

The tweets followed breaking news that a bomb was detonated on a London tube train on Friday that injured at least 20, including children.

From the Associated Press:

A bucket wrapped in an insulated bag caught fire on a packed London subway train Friday, sending commuters stampeding in panic at the height of the morning rush hour. Police said they were investigating it as a terrorist attack.

Photos taken inside a District Line train show a white plastic bucket inside a foil-lined shopping bag. Flames and what appear to be wires emerge from the top. London ambulance service said they had sent multiple crews to the Parsons Green station and 18 people were hospitalized, though none had life-threatening injuries. Police advised people to avoid the area in southwest London.

Sadiq Khan, the Muslim mayor of London, said that his city “utterly condemns the hideous individuals who attempt to use terror to harm us and destroy our way of life.”

The attacks were chronicled on social media.
