Holding the state flag of Texas, Houston Texans football star J.J. Watt entered NRG Stadium for the team’s home opener on Sunday to a hero’s welcome.
Watt electrified the fans, who rewarded him with thunderous applause, as he came out of the entrance way like a WWE superstar headlining WrestleMania.

The star has worked tirelessly, rasing more than $31 million dollars in relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The crowd was expected to be loud and excited for Watt, who missed a good portion of last season with an injury, before Hurricane Harvey reared its ugly head.
But no one could have expected the raw emotion and electric entrance that Watt provided on Sunday as he emerged from the tunnel.

The result of the game was not what the fans wanted, as the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose state is suffering from the effects of Hurricane Irma, bested the Texans by a score of 29 – 7
