Caitlyn Jenner was lambasted by a transgender activist over the reality star’s support of President Donald Trump during what was supposed to be a leisurely night out.
At a performance of “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” by the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, funded in part by Jenner, trans activist Ashlee Marie Preston confronted the former Olympic champion, the Los Angeles Blade reported.
“It’s really f**ked up you continue to support somebody that tears us down,” Preston said.
“Nobody wants you here … it’s really ridiculous,” Preston told Jenner a day after President Trump made his transgender military ban official. “You’re a f–king fraud.”
Dena Williams, a co-chair of the chorus board, attempted to end the confrontation which caused Preston to redirect the anger at William.
“We are complicit! Taking her money…it makes us complicit. It goes against the mission (of the chorus), Dena!,” Preston said.
“As long as we continue to be the ones that are most impacted by the choices that you make it’s not okay,” Preston continued. “It’s not ok! it’s not ok!”
Jenner attempted some self-defense, but that only angered Preston more.
“You don’t know me,” Jenner said quietly.
“Yes I do!” Preston shouted. “Oh my God, oh my God I’m getting so mad. It’s ridiculous. You are a f**king fraud and a fake.”
Realizing that the activist could not be reasoned with, Jenner chose to leave the performance.
