America lost two great comedians over the weekend in Jerry Lewis and Dick Gregory.
And social media’s social justice warriors are offended, as usual, because more attention has been paid to Lewis, who was white, than Gregory, who was black.
Both men did more than comedy as Lewis was a humanitarian who famously championed finding a cure for Muscular dystrophy. Gregory was a fearless civil rights activist, although some have considered some of his comments to be anti-white.
But not many have had the pop culture impact of Lewis, whose legendary career spanned more than 70 years.
And, accordingly, the White House issued a statement to honor Lewis.
“Jerry Lewis kept us all laughing for over half a century, and his incredible charity work touched the lives of millions,” the statement read. “Jerry lived the American Dream – he truly loved his country, and his country loved him back. Our thoughts are with his family today as we remember the extraordinary life of one of our greatest entertainers and humanitarians. Thank you, Jerry. You will be missed.”
That statement angered the SJWs even more.
Fact check: Did Obama identify or condemn white supremacy after the 2015 Charleston shooting?

And the media took abuse for giving more coverage to Lewis.
#CNN, #MSNBC, glorifies passing of Jerry Lewis, but totally ignores the passing of Dick Gregory. once again white privilege takes precedent
