A Florida man’s social media threat to kill a legislator got him in deep trouble.
Steve St. Felix, 34, was apprehended for threatening to kill state lawmaker Jose Felix Diaz in a Facebook rant.

According to police, St. Felix was “fed up with the Republican Party” and hadn’t taken his medication, although it wasn’t know what condition the medications treat, when he made the statements, the Miami Herald reported.

“Jose Felix Diaz I’ll kill your ass and you better not show up to the next REC meeting,” he wrote to the Republican lawmaker, weeks after Republican Rep. Steve Scalise was shot as he practiced for a charity baseball game.

The threat was quickly removed from the Facebook page and St. Felix was charged with written threats with intent to do bodily injury, according to the Herald.
