World class hypocrite and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and her fellow liberals, are not happy about former President Obama cashing in with a six-figure speech on Wall Street.
Cantor Fitzgerald signed a contract with the former president to give a speech at its health care conference this September for $400,000. A price that is nearly double what Hillary Clinton made when she was giving speeches, Fox News reported.
And Warren said she was “troubled by that” when she was asked about it on Sirius XM’s “Alter Family Politics” radio show on Thursday.
But she wasn’t troubled enough to not act like a capitalist and promote her book, “This Fight is Our Fight,” while discussing the former president’s deal.
“One of the things I talk about in the book is the influence of money. It’s a snake that slithers through Washington,” she said.
That snake is sneaky too because it appears to have bitten Warren, whose net worth is estimated to be between $3.7 million and $10 million with a three-story home worth around $1.9 million, according to CNN.
Her average net worth of $8.75 million which places her smack dab into the dreaded top one percent she claims to fight against.
Interestingly she wasn’t “troubled” by the six figure speeches Hillary Clinton was getting for years while she was campaigning for the former secretary of state and giving I’m woman hear me roar” speeches.
But progressives on social media were not concerned with Warren, Clinton, or their wealth and hypocrisy. They had their claws out to go after the former president for turning on them.
Obama was never a true progressive. A true progressive refuses corrupt money, no matter how tempting. He had ties there all along. #Obama

the issue isn’t that Obama got paid, this issue is that a ‘progressive’ president took money from people who crashed the fucking economy

There’s only one reason why someone as “progressive” as Obama didn’t support Bernie Sanders. Money. Lots of it.

@pamelavanbeekum @ggreenwald @JillAbramson No one’s begrudging Obama’s $65M book deal. But someone pretending to be “progressive” while getting big money from Wall St is weird

@maysoonzayid @jeffdunham @BarackObama Maybe I’m naive to be CRUSHED to know Obama taking this money. It’s naive to think Wall Street money wont compromise the progressive agenda.

Obama was never progressive like that. He took more big money backing him the Hilary when they ran against each other https://t.co/hFCqKUDYO6

Tell me again how Obama was a “great progressive.” This dude is a fraud and now he’s gonna cash in further. https://t.co/omYvSF4CoM

Or maybe it’s like Meghan McCain said. He’s “a dirty capitalist like the rest of us.”
