In its first execution since 2005, Arkansas put to death convicted murderer Ledell Lee and liberals are outraged.
Lee is the first of many executions the state is trying to complete before it’s drugs expire at the end of the month.

Until Lee’s execution Thursday night the state had been thwarted by the courts on each execution.
That included a block by a judge who participated in two anti-death penalty marches on the day he blocked the executions.
Latest Bill O’Reilly accuser may look familiar, but her lawyer’s statement is truly an eye-opener
But Lee was executed 30 minutes before his death warrant was set to expire, after the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the stay of execution, THV 11 reported.
Lee was convicted in the murder of 26-year-old mother Debra Reese in 1993.
Reese was beaten to death with a tire thumper her husband left with her for her protection.
Lee was also convicted of raping two other women and was tried for the rape and murder of Christine Lewis, who was dragged out of he home in front of her three-year-old child, before she was raped and strangled, according to THV 11.
The Lewis case resulted in a hung jury and the prosecution decided not to retry the case after Lee received the death sentence for Reese’s murder.
While other Arkansas convicted murders have been temporarily spared due to court action Lee, who received several reprieves, had his luck run out.
That caused many on social media to cry racism at the death of the convicted murderer.

Thread between the history of racial terrorizing by lynching (+ other violence) & modern death penalty especially clear in Ledell Lee case

The injustice system continues to be upheld by white supremists and another Black person in the US dies. I’m sorry, Ledell Lee. #Arkansas

Ledell Lee, another black person denied justice. Corrupt judge, prosecutor, lawyer and no DNA testing. #Amerikkka

Actually, there was DNA testing. Mr. Lee just wanted new DNA testing.
Media coverage of #arexecutions intentionally misleading, hides fact that Ledell Lee was already DNA tested and found guilty.

But who cares? It’s an opportunity to blame racism.

All others who got a stay of execution were white Americans except Ledell Lee who isn’t and has been injected with a lethal fluid. #ripLee
